I got the foot cycle. I haven’t been using it much. I occasionally stand when using my work laptop. I have cut back a bit on the late-night snacking & it seems to be helping slowly. Slow progress is better than no progress.

North Dakota and South Dakota have some of the worst rates in the world. I don’t know how it is in Canada but we have way too many people who refuse to wear a mask, and now with so many people apparently still traveling for (American) Thanksgiving... *shudder* -

I would bet Canada keeps its USA border closed into March or something like that. Maybe exceptions with proof of vaccination when that gets widespread enough. We just don’t have our act together yet in the U.S., unfortunately.
