No big deal - just a little interesting thing I noticed today on RentMasseur listings in Atlanta. Noticed an ad I thought was new as I didn't remember seeing it before. When I opened the ad my suspicions were confirmed. Ad say the provider joined RM yesterday...but it was also showing it had expired! How does that happen? Does RentMasseur accept ads with out payment? Or perhaps his credit card wasn't approved? Any ideas? As I said, just a curious thing.

With a name like that I don't think its hard to guess what he likes, right?

I've not seen any of these, but have two comments: Polmatthew seems new to RM , but picture are nice. Perhaps a name change for "Twospirit?" Picture #5 looks very familiar, but can't recall where I saw it.

The Provider is the one who advertised for clients. I usually assume they can host; especially visiting ones. If the Provider is unable to host, then I feel that bit of information should be part of the ad.

$75 for a shower? Wow. NYC water rates must be steep. Thirsty? Want a cup of water at Spa? Better ask how much first! I can understand time of shower being included in massaage hour, but priced separately, and then waiting time included in the hour for massage? What?? Nevertheless, I'd chalk it up to a bad experience and not visit again. Thanks for the warning about this place.

Yes, he seems to spend little time in Atlanta anymore, so when I happened to be in Birmingham last year same time as Tim, I scheduled a session. Many visits in Atlanta during several years in Atlanta were all very good. This time, however, was as @JayinHKNYC described above, was very disappointing and unlike previous times. Afterwards, in thinking about the session, I guessed he must have been very tired from previous sessions (mine was around 8pm) as he seemed tired.

I scheduled a time with him last week. He said he was in midtown. Then hr gave his address. He was in a hotel just south of downtown...ok, so he's new to Atlanta, perhaps an understandable thing. Then, one hour before the meeting as I was preparing to leave for the meeting, he send notice of a new hotel...this time, in downtown Atlanta. I arrived at the hotel and texted I was there. He said to give him a few more minutes as the was "still getting ready." Then, about 5-6 minutes later he texted to go to 3rd floor. (bit umusual, but ok). Arriving on the 3rd floor, I waited a bit, then texted for room number. A couple of minutes later he texted a number. By this time I am a little concerned that there 's something strange about this. Go to the room and knock. No answer, Wait. Knock again, no answer. Text again. He responds he doesn't see me. I tell him I am at his door. No response. I leave, and return to car. Text him that I don't understand. He response is that if he gave me the right room number I wouldn't have gone through with the meeting. I the told him I didn't know what game he was playing, but that I was finished playing and leaving hotel. I did. No response. SO...I'd just be careful if attempting to hire him. But I sure won't try again.

Not necessarily a red flag for me, but I do find it a bit irritating that sometimes they either fail to read the entire text I sent or just ignore the rest of the questions. I am usaully only asking about general location and price. How is that so hard?

Early in my experiences I paid up front twice...both turn out to be pretty bad experiences. Lesson learned. I haven't paid up front again (ok, once, and it turned out ok). Its usually a deal breaker for me. The worst is when payment is asked for upon arrival and it hasn't ever been mentioned before. As @Jmatt mentioned, it would definally affect the tip...or lack of. I've commented before that the one handed massage while masseur looks at his phone is one of my pet peeves.

According to the menu on the RentMasseur home page, this is a new feature that lists the most recent masseur reviews. But, along with the "new" feature, there seems to be another change associated with this. Previously, I appreciated that as a RentMasseur paying member, you could click on "all previous reviews" of a particular masseur and see the comments along with the price paid as well as other details not included in the main page reviews. This ability seems to have been removed as of today. Whether a glitch (I hope), or a intended change, you no loger see the details listed above - only the actual review words. The price paid was a very useful way of getting a "feel" of prices being paid for a particular masseur...especially so in the new era of so many masseurs listing "ask" as their rate. Is this perhaps a delayed reaction to the Rentboy raid and US law, where prices are lo longer available on RentMen? (Still hoping its just a glitch as a result of adding this "new" feature. )

His text in the ad reads more like an escort than masseur. Says he is only visiting Atlanta for a few days.

Saw him several times several years ago when he was starting out and lived in Atlanta. . Not bad massage, and after a few visits more was offered. He lived in Seattle I think for several years and apparently is now back in Atlanta. He now has both a RentMasseur and RentMen ad. I contacted him for an appointment during a visit to Atlanta right before he apparently decided to move back, and everything was set. The day of, when he sent the address, he stated that he required payment before the session. This was something he had not peviously done in our meetings, and a deal breaker for me, so I cancelled. I got a few nasty replies and name calling before he blocked me. FIne with me. I assumed he didn't remember I was among his first clients.
