  1. My first new car was a '74 Gremlin. Green, base model with a vinyl bench seat, but it had automatic, and power steering, and the best feature was the 304 cubic inch V8. It moved. Get the X trim package.

family had purple with the denim nterior -- of course that was ater the pink on pink rambler station wagon with the column shift

  2. Gentlemen... I not often post here, but I am going to visit Boston for the first time. The tricky part is that I only have one day to myself to play tourist. What in your opinion (for those that are from Boston or have visited Boston) I should try no to miss...? Answers can range from historical sites, museums, landscapes, gay bars, etc. Thanks in advance for your kind advice... EGP.

    Lobster/Chowder/Oysters/Clams ---- mmmmmmmmmmmm

  3. I've been trying to savor recently released Season 5. I really do enjoy this show. Expectations were high initially, I think because the subject matter gave me the idea that the show was going to a very smart social commentary. It's really just another sitcom, but with beloved old actors and a somewhat fresh premise. I'm already halfway through this season.

It was neat to see Paul Michael Glaser. He's done so little since the open-shirted days of Starsky & Hutch.

Ethan Embry is the only eye-candy, for me, now that Ernie Hudson's character has been written out of the show. Scott Evans may excite some as a semi-regular, but I'm hoping his big brother drops by...

Gratuitous vintage Paul Michael Glaser picture, for no good reason:

First I thought that Paul Mihael Glaser hd been dead for ages~

Second === If he played Lenny == I thought that was Tony Robertson looking like death! Who knew~

  4. I've not had a haircut in almost four years. And I have not shaved in over six months. My apartment shares the parking lot with a hair salon. My landlord was just here. I told him that I'd like / needed a haircut and shave. So he went over and brought me one of stylist's business cards. She was not in.

So I'm going to call in a few days. She'll need to come here.

I want it simple. I have no one to impress. Just set the clippers on 0.

The place shares your parking lot --- why couldn't you figure the name from the proximity using the internet - a pair of binoculars - homing pidgeons - the Physic Friends Network?

You are fortunate to have a time generous landlord - but be careful of what you ask for -- you may wear out his generosity -- This haircut thing was something that with a little thought and effort you could have handled yourself . . . .

  5. I have also eaten Goat - Horse - Venison - Rabbit - Alligator - Armadillo - Bear (the forest dweller YUCK POOH BLECK - The Human variety - Yummy hehehe) Squirrel - Possum - Goose - Terrapin -- Ostrich - Bison -- Blowfish -- I was offered Kangaroo but decline - to Cute when alive --

  6. I can walk, but stiffly and sometimes painfully due to back issues. Standing still is worse than walking. I keep a computer chair in my (galley) kitchen so I can roll back and forth and face either side. I cook and do dishes sitting down, standing only when necessary.

Great minds Sam --- This was my next step before WC

A kitchen stool on wheels --- similar to pictured below -- have seen that at HDepot/Loews/Bed-Bath/Etc and used on Craigs list -- New all around $45-55 - Used on CL $10-15 also see a lot of them at thrift shops - yard sales

  7. I would not be able to stand that long. I only use the microwave oven. But the grocery store has bags of shelled hard boiled eggs I get.

Or you could put eggs in a pot of cold water with a touch of sea salt - cover - set the timer for 12 minutes and turn on the burner sit down -- or didn't you get a wheelchair? Buzzer rings turn off vent steam - let cool in pot -- Sit --- Later once cool - dump water - pack eggs and refrigerate -- shell as needed --- Sit --

BTW I also have problems standing due to severe unresolved orthopedic issues and I cook from a wheelchair ---- Yesterday I roasted a small chicken with potatoes and veggies and made a cornbread from a mix to which I added fresh dill from my lil 4in window pots of herbs --- Today I stripped the chicken carcass - added the leftover veggies water - broth - seasoning and made a chicken veggie soup/stew -- remove carcass -- add chopped chicken and more veggies and herbs --- all in the crock pot with left over dilled corn bread -- MMMMM Good and at least 3-4 meals --- All from the wheelchair --- and before I had a wheelchair I used a kitchen chair and a walker ----

The wheels make it easier to sweep the floor and spot clean the tile with a cloth/spray and my foot -- when I am done cooking -

you just gotta wanna do it and you will figure a way -- humans are very clever critters!

  8. I'm working on my October grocery order and am wondering what folks here think about the Jimmy Dean breakfasts?

Very easy to prepare; all one need do is to microwave them.

    Easy fast

My Breakfast on the run to the office -- 3 HB eggs and 2 Wasa Cracker Breads == And I prepack some salsa in a Ziploc snack back --

Eggs = 210 calories - 21 grams of Protein === Wasa 70 Calories - 6 Grams Fiber -- Salsa - 30 Calories = 310 Cals packed with flavor protein and slow processing fiber dense carbs and flavor!!!!

My breakfast at home work days == When peppers are cheap I buy a few and cut and freeze them in Ziploc bag --- same with onions --- Put some of both into a bowl 2 egg whites 1 whole egg beat - grind in pepper and herbs - Nuke till desired firmness - 2 slices of wasa bread -- Salsa ---- Eggs/Whites = 130 Calories -- Wasa 70 Calories -- Salsa 30 Calories -- And sometimes I will sprinkle a tblsp of Grated parm on top 25 calories = 255 Calories - 21 Grams Protein - 6 Fiber etc

    Fast - Easy - Cheap - Healthy

PS for office days I precook and chill HB eggs - prepack in snack bags -- Same with Wasa and Salsa -- Then just grab and go!!!!

4-5 hours later I am still running on all cylinders -- not hungry and have to remind myself to take a lunch break for mental as well as physical nutrition --

PSS When tomatoes are cheap I will make pico de gallo {diced tomatoes - diced onions - cilantro - touch of sea salt} to replace the salsa

  9. When doing watersports, it's always important to pay special attention to hydration for the 24 hours beforehand.

As mentioned, it should be clear.

Flavoring Options can be fun as well!! Add some pineapple for sweetness = Drink Dark Beer for rich smoky flavor = Just stay away from the Asparagus - Unless you are punishing a piss slave
