It is a scrub so whatever they are rubbing on your body has some texture , not sure if it’s salt tho. But they never go crazy with the rubbing so it’s definitely not painful and it doesn’t sting, at least for me. once done, you have to wash yourself off in the shower that is in the same room. I remember at Shangri La (RIP) , the masseur actually washed the scrub stuff off your body, which was always nice

Yes - it’s always been the same masseur for both the scrub and massage for me, and I’m pretty certain they are all trained to do the scrub / massage

At Paradise, the masseur will have you soak in a jacuzzi for about 10 minutes. Then he comes back and you move to the table, face down. When you turn over, the masseur will usually cover your junk with a towel. The scrub lasts about 10-15 mins. It’s a good ice breaker if you’re getting a massage after
