I have always been skeptical of sending deposits.... But I have been seeing Tyler for a year now... He started requiring deposits from new clients a few months ago due to a large amount of people setting up fake appointments and a couple of guys who hired him for multi day travel but skipped out on paying at the end.

One thing that I do trust is rentmens verification of escorts, the reviews left on there, and seeing how long the escort has had his rentmen account... Usually if an escort has had the same RM account for a long time, and is verified, and has positive reviews, they probably have treated clients well.

Yes he is pricey. But to me, totally worth it. But I'm the kinda guy that wants one to be a regular of.

At least with RM they have some sort of vetting process for leaving a review. It may not be perfect, but it’s something. Even if there was a stringent review process, other than their screen name, what would be the purpose of publishing the client’s personal information?

 

First off, I am simply suggesting that rentmen allow escorts to leave reviews on client profiles. I'm not suggesting that anyone have their real identities posted.

Its really sad how you guys think vetting, honest reviews, genuine warnings, and proper moderation is only something clients are capable of... But escorts would apparently just be malicious... Seems like some you probably deserve that malice.

I understand the purpose and, believe me, I wish there was a simple way to rate clients from a provider perspective since we deal with a lot scammers and flakes from a provider standpoint. However, I am a big believer in safeguarding the identity of clients. We choose to release our personal information to the world while many clients do not. I believe providers should respect the privacy and anonymity of all clients.

Escorts tend to use "stage names" and burner numbers - Clients can do the same thing. I'm not promoting the outing of people's identities or being malicious but escorts aren't the only voluntary participants, clients also VOLUNTARILY give whatever info (FAKE OR REAL) to the escorts they contact. If the "client" texting is just some pervy timewaster trying to collect pics and jerk off, or worse, meets the escort but skips out on paying then Escorts should have a place to warn others.

Not only that, it would Escorts could help their co-workers by leaving positive reviews for good clients who don't mind being reviewed. I mean at very least, rentmen should add that feature to client profiles.

I believe it would be very useful for legitimate clients AND escorts for there to be a forum where escorts discuss clients who have hired them, the various RM usernames of the guys who message them there, and/or the area code and last 4 digits of a phone number that texted/called?

Obviously no complete identifying information should be posted. But usernames, first name and city, and/or part of the phone number would be good.

An App called Mr. Number has a bit of that going on. But not nearly enough. Thoughts?

I wouldn't call them a mafia. There's a few 20-something and 30-something gay boys who scan the escort sites regularly to see if anyone they know and possibly hate but also want to sleep with is on there. I can confirm that a friend of mine was denied entry into Canada because of a DUI (alcohol) on his record. This was several years back. I have no idea what the current situation is.

I was denied entry at Toronto International Airport for a charge that got dismissed and I had the record expunged. That's expunged not sealed. Clearly, records are never entirely deleted anymore, and it doesn't matter if a charge is completely false and gets immediately dismissed. I wonder if driving across would be just as strict.

I believe as the trend continues, what you said will be turned around. Most professional escorts will be requiring deposits from every unknown and unverified new customer, and if ya don't like it then move on to the next one.

I have been hiring escorts for 5 years now and I agree some boys are simply advertising as escorts in order to scam people. However, I also have experience serving as secretary to a few amazing providers. Doing this job has taught me that the "Legit to Scammer" ratio is much more positive on the escort side than it is on the client side. I'd say the guys I help out get about 100 inquiries per day, 65 of them are guys just trying to talk dirty, guys who know the escort in real life and are trying to mess with them, or guys trying to scam their way into getting with the escort then ditching when it comes time to pay. Even going so far as to send an ACH deposit that will show pending for days and then bounce after the booking ends. About 30 typically want to pay well below what the escort wants to get paid or aren't even in the same city but ask if you'll the escort would visit for a 1 hour session, and maybe 5 turn out to be legit serious clients.... In my hiring experience, I've tried contacting plenty escorts who never responded or truly sucked at communicating. I've had guys who were duds in person or who didn't do everything we agreed to. But 99 percent of the guys Ive spent money on were who they said they were, and showed up. The overwhelming majority of calls and texts an escort gets are from broke ass wankers trying to have phone sex, scammers, idiots and young guys or physically fit guys thinking they can use rentmen like Grindr, and guys who shouldn't be hiring because they can't afford it.

I can understand how being asked for a deposit to confirm an appointment can make you weary. But it's pretty easy these days to verify that the escort and his pics are real. It's extremely difficult to figure out which inquiries are real and which are complete wastes of time.
