Well, the pic is indeed a doozy. Well, here's the deal. As best as I can determine the black sheath that is around the tip of his "Mr. Happy" seems to be connected to some wires which would emanate from an electrical box. I would think that the wires are most likely attached to the grey box in the lower right corner of the pic.
