Saw this revival the other night. I wasn't planning on seeing it until I read the amazing reviews especially the review in the New York Times. They called in the best play in the last 20 years best since Angels in America. It won the Pulitzer over 20 years ago. The show was extremely well acted but I don't think it lived up to the hype. Sometimes that happens when you expect something to be that good.

Did anyone watch Diane Sawyers interview with Matthew Perry. Growing up and being along time friends fan it was very sad watching and listening to his struggles with addiction all his life. Sounds like he's in a better place and his taking his experience to try and help others.

It's a shame. I liked going to the weekly events. You got to know the dancers and have some fun. Then when the nude parties came along the dancers then would grab you for a dance vs now it's a few guys who take these guys for an hour or so in the lap dance room. The popular ones never seem to make it out and get to meet any new patrons. They're looking for who's going to take them home after the party and pay them thousand of dollars since this is their job to make money.

This is only my opinion... The days of going out after work for happy hour is decreased significantly over the years. The days of Uncle Charlie's (downtown) where the stand and model crowd hung out, Splash days, etc is over. The gym is the new "happy hour" crowd. Guys are working out vs the drinking. This was happening way before the pandemic which made this even worse. Many years back even the Townhouse was a big after work crowd where all ages met. That too has diminished. Sad. I liked going out after work either meeting up with friends to end the stress of the day or meeting new business minded professionals. Remember when everyone wore a suit?

I walked by the theater the other day and now that it is back on Broadway. I looked at who was waiting on line and besides all the gay men were lots of black women. You know they were there wanting to seeing Jesse Williams big dick. lol
