All well said. I got burned recently by hiring a top-price companion despite a dearth of positive reviews - I let my curiosity get the best of me. It was the most bizarre hire I've ever had and I regret it. At the same time, I've visited guys who ask half his rate and been happy as a clam (and a repeat client).

I've found myself restrained from uttering the words a few times... it would be awkward, perhaps uncomfortable, and I've a poor track record in keeping my emotions in check. In thinking about it, I agree with Doug: It's the 2-hour illusion that elicits the feelings and words and, when the time is up, the illusion vanishes in a vapor. It's probably best that way.

The question made me curious and I did a quick look at all the ads on Rentmen for Atlanta. There were 42 ads with Incall rates and the average was $211 and median $200. The minimum is $120 and maximum is $300. There were 55 ads with Outcall rates and the average was $235 and median $250. The minimum is $150 and maximum is $300. The average age is 29 (minimum is 18 and maximum is 57) and the median is 27 years old. There wasn't any correlation of rate to age I didn't grab any other fields on this pass like ethnicity, position, etc., but correlations to these elements may be interesting. I'm not sure what all of this means; perhaps it's more interesting to watch over time to see if there are trends. (*one outlier observation omitted)

These are all great! A year ago, if you had told me some of the things that clients say I'd think there was no way anyone could be so crude. Since then I've had some idle chit-chat with some of my 'new friends' and the things they hear floor me... I can't imagine a situation in which I have so little feeling for someone with whom I want to be intimate that I could say or do things that insensitive. I think you have to have a pretty thick skin and allot of emotional resilience to go thru that and still deliver consistently excellent experiences.
