I’ve held someone’s hand once, in the context of this thread. About 3 years ago I met a guy on RM and it became pretty serious... it evolved into more of an arrangement but we were pretty wrapped around each other emotionally. I took him to Austin with me on a business trip and stayed the weekend. Sunday afternoon we walked down the street together holding hands. It was one of the most terrifying and exhilarating things I’ve ever done, on lots of levels. What it said about me to myself. What it said about me and him. What it said about us to everyone. I still remember how I felt as if it were yesterday.

Some of these guys are insanely hot (to me). I almost never look at a profile of someone who contacts/favorites me and isn’t in my state but occasionally can’t resist. This makes allot of sense. Everyone’s answer is different and that’s fortunate - the tension it creates forces us to question ourselves and introspection is healthy for spiritual growth. Personally, I don’t think there is a meaning of life in the conventional sense of the question. “Meaning of life”, to @Charlie ‘s point, is wholly dependent on language and seems to imply some pre-ordained design. I don’t believe in any deity and Maslow’s hierarchy of needs makes allot of sense to me so I would say that MY meaning is nil; my purpose is huge but ultimately is about bringing happiness to myself and others.

I just had a frustrating encounter with a new gentleman on RM. He messaged me a “Hi, I noticed you looked at my profile....” message. His profile is very brief and vanilla torso pics only. I asked a couple of basic questions and, in response, received a link to a TEMP.PM address. Being the suspicious type I tunneled to Hong Kong and opened it in private mode. The message was a fairly generic “my rate is $x for the first hour and I won’t do any kind of xxxx”. I flipped back to his RM profile and tried to figure out was I was missing and when I returned to TEMP.PM the message had self-destructed. I wasn’t able to see it. I understand some guys desire for private, secure communications but this seems like massive overkill to me. I’m cool with Protonmail and think it meets reasonable requirements but the self destructing messages accessible only by navigating to a unique URL sets off malware alarm bells in my head, not to mention being impractical. Have others encountered this?
