I don't know him, but I had a similar experience with a different provider and -- trust me -- just pay the guy his fee. Don't tip him or anything, but pay the full amount. Do so because whatever money you feel like you've wasted will be far less than the cost of the headache that a disgruntled provider may cause. They are capable of doing so much worse than sending hate texts and, in many cases, have little to lose if they go off the deep end.

Speaking from a terrible experience with a different provider, just pay the full fee, even if you have been cheated out of time or his profile was misleading, or you were simply duped into hiring someone you otherwise would not. If he is inclined to dupe you or cheat you, he is unlikely to have any qualms about hurting you more over a few dollars. Trust me. Whatever precautions you take—different name, different phone number—if he wants to find you, he will. Just pay him his full fee and use it as a reminder to sufficiently vet a potential masseur before hiring.
