If he is inclined to dupe you or cheat you, he is unlikely to have any qualms about hurting you more over a few dollars. Trust me. Whatever precautions you take—different name, different phone number—if he wants to find you, he will. Just pay him his full fee and use it as a reminder to sufficiently vet a potential masseur before hiring.
