Published by OK Magazine @ladygaga/tiktok Is that Lady Gaga? The “Shallow” singer took to TikTok on Wednesday, May 17, to share a clip promoting her makeup line. However, fans were alarmed, as they seemed to think it was not Gaga herself featured in the video. @ladygaga/tiktok “These NEUTRALS are HOT LIKE THIS RECORD @HausLabs (Grrrrrrr…I’m wearing maple matte ),” the pop sensation captioned the short clip of herself whirling around in a black tank top to the song “Princess Diana” by Ice Spice and Nicki Minaj. “This might not be lady gaga?? am i crazy,” one fan speculated, while a second person noted that she looked like another famous artist, “Miley Cyrus cosplaying as Lady Gaga.” A third user noted, “She looks like somebody who kinda looks like lady Gaga,” and another added, “My mind is fighting over deciding whether this is Miley Cyrus or Lady Gaga.” @ladygaga/tiktok ‘Sister Wives’ Star Christine Brown Reveals She Rocks Out To ‘Empowering’ Playlist Featuring Kelly Clarkson Oscars 2023: What You Didn’t See On TV — Lady Gaga To The Rescue, Cara Delevingne Hangs With Florence Pugh & More Lady Gaga & Michael Polansky Secretly Split After Butting Heads Over Marriage & Kids, Spills Source: They ‘Hit A Wall’ Despite the online chatter, one person pointed out that the American Horror Story actress’ appearance has changed for a new role. “She lost weight for her role in joker 2 and the video is mirrored, y’all are so quick to judge,” the user claimed. Gaga has been hard at work on the upcoming action film after nabbing the role from Margot Robbie — who was not thrilled about losing out on the project. “Lady Gaga playing Harley Quinn in the Joker sequel instead of Margot Robbie is a joke. Published by City AM By Adam Bloodworth Brokeback Mountain play review and star rating: ★★★ Where was all the spine-tingling intimacy? The kissing scenes that show what two men together can be like, the caressing of a shoulder with the tuft of hair, the chin nuzzling into the armpit, the gazes of adoration? Brokeback Mountain, originally a 1997 short story published in the New Yorker, became a masterpiece of the big screen in 2005 when Heath Ledger and Jake Gyllenhaal played two closeted gay lovers who worked on a ranch and fell hopelessly in love. Published by AFP Penguin Random House and PEN America have sued a Florida school district over the removal of books that address race and LGBTQ issues Washington (AFP) – Publisher Penguin Random House and the writers’ group PEN America filed a lawsuit on Wednesday against a Florida school district over the removal of books from public school libraries that address race and LGBTQ issues. The book removals are unconstitutional and a violation of the First Amendment, which protects freedom of speech, according to the suit against the Escambia County School District and the school board. “Books are being ordered removed from libraries, or subject to restricted access within those libraries, based on an ideologically driven campaign to push certain ideas out of schools,” the complaint said. “These restrictions and removals have disproportionately targeted books by or about people of color and/or LGBTQ people,” it added. Florida Governor Ron DeSantis, a potential candidate for the 2024 Republican presidential nomination, has been a driving force behind a campaign in the southern state to restrict children’s access to certain books. Florida has been a leading battleground in the so-called “culture wars” in the United States and scores of books have been removed from library shelves in recent months, deemed inappropriate for children by conservative parents and school boards. Suzanne Nossel, CEO of PEN America, denounced the book removals in a statement announcing the lawsuit. “Children in a democracy must not be taught that books are dangerous,” Nossel said. “In Escambia County, state censors are spiriting books off shelves in a deliberate attempt to suppress diverse voices. “In a nation built on free speech, this cannot stand.” Nihar Malaviya, CEO of Penguin Random House, said “books have the capacity to change lives for the better, and students in particular deserve equitable access to a wide range of perspectives. “We stand by our authors, their books, and the teachers, librarians, and parents who champion free expression.” Several authors who have had their books removed joined the lawsuit along with the parents of children who attend schools in Escambia County. According to the lawsuit, at least two books published by Penguin Random House — “The Bluest Eye” by Nobel Literature Prize-winning author Toni Morrison and “Push” by Sapphire — have been removed from some school district libraries and others are being targeted. They include “The Kite Runner” by Khaled Hosseini, “Two Boys Kissing” by David Levithan and “Slaughterhouse-Five” by Kurt Vonnegut. According to PEN America, 1,648 unique book titles were banned in 32 states during the 2021-22 school year, with the most occurring in Florida and Texas. View the full article

Published by BANG Showbiz English Andy Cohen “could have some good threesomes” with Anderson Cooper. The 54-year-old star has been single since he split up with Broadway actor John Hill in 2020 but insisted that while he “loves” CNN co-host Anderson – who called time on his long-term relationship with Benjamin Maisani in 2018 – they are “truly just good friends” and he loves being able to team up with him for work. Speaking on US talk show ‘Sherri’, he said: “We could have some good threesomes, me and Anderson! But by the way, that is what it would take because we are truly just good friends. I love him to death. We have gotten so much closer over the years and it’s also so fun being part of a duo. We’ve toured the country, 50 plus cities and we’re on every New Year’s Eve. I love making him giggle, it makes me so happy!” Towards the end of last year Andy – who has four-year-old son Benjamin and 13-month-old Lucy whilst Anderson is father to three-year-old Wyatt and Sebastian, 13 months – explained that their friendship had strengthened since they had become gay dads and noted how “glad” he is that their children will get to grow up together. Speaking on the ‘Table for Two’ podcast, he said: “We are these geriatric patients hobbling around chasing our children, but look it’s another bonding thing. I think what is going to be really interesting to us, as it develops, is being gay dads and as our kids start realizing more and more ‘Oh I have gay dads.’ I am so glad that Ben [Cohen] will grow up with Wyatt [Cooper] and that Ben with grow up seeing Anderson and Benjamin [Maisani] raising Wyatt and Sebastian.” View the full article

Published by PsyPost In new research published in the journal Human Nature, researchers found that heterosexual men in romantic relationships who sought services from sex workers preferred a “variety experience” rather than a “relationship experience.” The study sought to examine male use of a dual mating strategy, a theory in evolutionary psychology that suggests humans often employ two different mating strategies to maximize their reproductive success. According to this theory, men seek short-term sexual encounters to maximize their chances of spreading their genes widely. This strategy is driven by the desire f… Read More View the full article

Published by OK Magazine mega;@artemislangford/facebook Caitlyn Jenner accused a fellow transwoman of being nothing more than a “sexually deviant male” in a scathing tirade during an interview with America Reports host Sandra Smith earlier this week. This shocking back-and-forth occurred after transgender college student Artemis Langford chose to join a sorority at the University of Wyoming, later resulting in several members of the group suing the organization because they allegedly felt uncomfortable with Langford’s presence. mega Jenner, who transitioned and legally changed her name herself back in 2015, slammed Langford for making the decision to join the women’s college group, insisting that “if you look at those pictures, what I have to say is, he is a perverted, sexually deviant male.” Added the 73-year-old, “I’m sorry, Artemis Langford, you are not a woman and you do not belong in women’s spaces. mega;@artemislangford/facebook “I was listening to Fox News the other night and Clay Travis, I think, put it just perfectly,” Jenner continued. “He says living in this world, equality really, really has become inequality, and it’s so true because the women are not being protected here, and that is a shame.” TheKeeping Up with the Kardashians alum noted she’s been “fighting this woke world” for a “long time,” specifically trying to “protect women’s sports.” “And you know, you got to fight back all this B.S. Published by BANG Showbiz English David Archuleta thought there was “something wrong with [him]” when he started to realise he was gay. The 32-year-old pop singer grew up in a religious community and did not understand the heteronormative expectations laid out to him when it was “clear” to him that he had “strong feelings” towards other boys. He told People: “My sexuality has been a part of me. It’s something that I’ve felt. I can’t say I was fully aware of it, but I knew something was different about me, starting from when I was a little kid in elementary school. People would start talking about crushes. I started feeling that for girls, but then I started feeling it for guys. I was like, “Wait, I was always told that this was supposed to be for a girl, so why am I feeling it for boys?”‘ I felt really embarrassed. Like how Elsa [from ‘Frozen’] would say, conceal it, don’t let them in, try to hold it all inside. Growing up in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, everything is about marriage, everything is about having a spouse and creating children with them. But each time that I was trying to date a girl, it was clear that my feelings were equal [to] if not even stronger for guys. I was like, ‘There must be something wrong with me.'” The former ‘American Idol’ star went on to explain that he felt “mad” about his sexuality until he turned 30 and even ended up “praying” in an effort to change things but eventually learned to “love and embrace” himself for who he is. He added: “I was still feeling mad until I was 30. I was like, ‘No matter what I do, I don’t know how to change this.’ It got to a point where I was praying and I’m just like, “God, if you are really there, please. I don’t know what else to do. Am I cursed? Am I supposed to be unhappy for the rest of my life?’ “Finally, I felt this huge flow of love and peace, and it just said, “David, you need to stop asking me this because you’re asking me the wrong thing. You’re asking me to change something that I don’t intend to change. I created you this way the way, the way you were supposed to be, and you need to understand this.” “That really changed my life because I thought I had to hate myself because there was this part of me that was wrong. When I learned to love that and embrace it and just allow it to be, I was like, “Wow, I feel this love I never felt for myself ever.” View the full article

Published by AFP Disney announced it is canceling a new campus for employees near Orlando's Disney World New York (AFP) – Disney canceled plans for a new employee campus in central Florida on Thursday in the latest ripple effect from its feud with Republican governor of the state Ron DeSantis. The entertainment giant will not move forward with the Lake Nona project due to “considerable changes” since the original announcement, “including new leadership and changing business conditions,” said a memo from parks chairman Josh D’Amaro. The project, first announced in July 2021, was expected to relocate 2,000 jobs from California to Lake Nona, which is about 20 miles (30 kilometers) east of the huge Disney World complex in Orlando. The staff was to have included workers in digital technology, finance and product development, with an average annual salary of $120,000, Orlando business groups said at the time of the announcement. The project was estimated as an $864 million investment, according to earlier press reports. But Disney has been embroiled in an increasingly pitched battle with DeSantis, who is reportedly planning to launch his bid for the Republican presidential nomination next week. The origin of the fight was Disney’s criticism of a DeSantis-backed law banning school lessons on sexual orientation and gender identity. In his challenge to former president Donald Trump, DeSantis has staked out far-right positions on myriad hot-button issues, restricting children’s access to certain books and blocking a new course on Black studies. Jerry Demings, mayor of Orange County, which comprises the tourism site, said Disney’s decision was “unfortunate,” according to a statement. “However, these are the consequences when there isn’t an inclusive and collaborative work environment between the state of Florida and the business community,” Demings said. “We will continue to work closely with our valued partners at Disney.” In February, DeSantis removed Disney’s control of its special self-governing district, which allowed the city-sized park to run its own zoning and infrastructure projects, exempt from state regulations. The Florida governor also floated the idea of building a new prison near the park, which is part of a sprawling tourism site employing 75,000 people and attracting 50 million visitors per year. But Disney, which reinstated longtime leader Bob Iger as chief executive last November, has fought back. In April, Disney sued DeSantis, characterizing the Florida governor’s actions as a “targeted campaign of government retaliation” that violates the company’s right to free speech. Earlier this week, Disney asked a judge to throw out a lawsuit filed by a DeSantis-aligned oversight board. Trump, for his part, has ridiculed DeSantis’s fight with Disney, predicting in April in a social media post the company would stop investing new money in Florida or “even announce a slow withdrawal.” In a statement on Thursday, Trump’s campaign charged that DeSantis’ feud with Disney has robbed the state of a huge investment and lucrative jobs “because he was too weak to fight for his state,” while hailing Trump as “the Jobs President.” “Ron DeSantis’ failed war on Disney has done little for his limping shadow campaign, and now is doing even less for Florida’s economy,” the campaign said. Disney’s D’Amaro said in Thursday’s memo that the company is “committed to our teams who call Central Florida home.” “We have plans to invest $17 billion and create 13,000 jobs over the next ten years,” D’Amaro said. “I hope we’re able to do so.” View the full article

Published by BANG Showbiz English Anna Nicole Smith is said to have been “gender fluid” before the world had a term for the sexual identity. Late model Anna died in 2007 of combined drug intoxication, and was famously married to oil tycoon J Howard Marshall II in 1994 when he was 89 and she was 26, but her friends have now come forward to talk of her other same-sex relationships. Anna’s fashion designer friend Pol Atteu, 57, who made many dresses for her, told People about how his old friend was neither straight or gay: “I would say she was fluid. We just did not have a name for it back then.” Another of her friends Ashley Wells Lewis added to the magazine about how she always wanted love: “She spent her life in pursuit of happily ever after.” When Anna wed J Howard it was her second marriage and his third. But her friend Missy Byrum, who is featured in Netflix’s new documentary ‘Anna Nicole Smith: You Don’t Know Me’, told People they had an unofficial wedding. She said about how they were in a secret lesbian relationship and got hitched “in the backyard by the pool” in 1993: “We became lovers, you know? Anna had faced accusations she had married J Howard to inherit his wealth after he died, which she consistently denied. Melissa backed up her claim and said: “She really loved him. The way he took care of her and looked out for her – she cared about him a lot. “She didn’t want people to think that she was after his money. (Her) aunt Kay and I both said, ‘If you love him, to heck with what people think!’” J Howard died in 1995 and Anna, whose first marriage was to cook Billy Wayne Smith when she was 17, did not marry again after his death. Published by Reuters LISBON (Reuters) – Portugal’s conservative President Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa has signed a bill decriminialising euthanasia into law in the Catholic-majority country after parliament on Friday overturned the last of his four vetoes. His office said in a statement the president had enacted the legislation “as he is obliged” to do so under the constitution. Portugal becomes the sixth European Union country allowing the procedure. Opinion polls have long been showing the majority of Portuguese are in favour of the right to choose medically assisted death over suffering. In January 2021, a previous legislature passed the first bill that would have legalised medically assisted death under certain conditions, but Rebelo de Sousa vetoed it due to “excessively undefined concepts”. As parliament kept approving slightly amended versions, the president would send them back to the house or to the Constitutional Court, usually citing doubts over wording, which critics said were mere attempts to delay its introduction. On Friday, the 250-seat parliament voted by 129-81, with one abstention, to approve the bill without changes requested by Rebelo de Sousa, effectively overturning his veto. The centre-right main opposition Social Democratic Party has said, however, it will appeal against the law with the Constitutional Court. The law specifies that people would be allowed to request assistance in dying in cases when they are “in a situation of intense suffering, with definitive injury of extreme gravity or serious and incurable disease”. It establishes a two-month gap between accepting a request and the actual procedure and makes psychological support mandatory. Portugal spent a large part of the 20th century until the 1974 Carnation Revolution under fascist rule but has since implemented many liberal reforms. It decriminalised drug use in 2001, legalised abortions in 2007 and allowed same-sex marriage in 2010. (Reporting by Andrei Khalip; Editing by Angus MacSwan) View the full article
