I agree. It is odd. Some of the more muscular guys on RM say "Defined" or "Athletic," while some slender jock/athlete bodies say they are "Muscular." I would not be hard on either set of guys--so long as their pix are accurate.

I did not know it was Gage Santoro until a Message Board member private messaged me during the course of the debate here. It was a confidential message, and so I was uncertain whether I should reveal the guess (I do not know Gage Santoro).

Yes, I did not want to "out" him, but it is clearly Gage Santoro who ran the ad and responds to RM messages. He is HOTT, but as you can see anything Santoro generates a lot of critical heat on the Message Board. (I have nothing to add or subtract from that.)

Hey guys, thanks for all the debate and info. Based on your advice and my common sense, I passed on the deposit and the potential hook up. This guy is a bit of a mystery--but in RM chat with me he opened the door (inadvertently) to the possibility that he is an Aussie married to an American who has a presence and an apartment in Washington DC. So he may be the real deal. I explained to him the overwhelming aversion Message Board Members have to deposits generally, and big ones especially. He was nice about it and offered to cut the deposit to just half, but I did not budge. He says there are a lot of no-shows when there is no deposit--which is a fair point and the subject of another thread on this Message Board.

Good point. I know he's American because we have exchanged a few dozen RM emails; he lives on the east coast but has been in Australia most or maybe all this year. He is very engaging on email--but that would be consistent with a scam by an experienced and clever scammer.
