I've had no problems escorting in the UK. It's fundamentally legal here, though some associated activities (which I do not do) are not legal. In London I feel pretty confidence that if I was the victim of a crime in the course of escorting I could report it to the police and be taken seriously. That's about as good as it gets.
 
The possible downside to it being legal is that rates aren't as high as in the US, but that's a trade-off I'm willing to take. I've also found clients in the UK treat me better than in the US. Which isn't to say I've had terrible experiences in the States, but more clients there have been transactional with me, and wanted to get their 'money's worth'.
 
Edit: when I think about it, I've experienced a lot less pressure to bareback or do drugs than I faced in the US too. Both are definitely common in London, but are asked of me about 25% of the time, vs 50% in NYC and Vegas.

I don't believe at any time in history there should have been shaming of those that chose to go natural when it came to anal sex. Shaming doesn't work, however education and harm reduction does. Before PrEP and TasP (Treatment as Prevention) however it was highly risky to engage in passive anal intercourse without a condom, unless perhaps you had discovered you were amongst the small group that appear to be genetically resistant to HIV. The stigma is lessened because the risk is lessened. Natural anal sex when you're on PrEP is no more irresponsible than natural oral sex for those not on PrEP, so I really hope the shaming and name calling can be finally and completely put to rest.

Okay, so I reached out to a newbie in my city after doing some research and getting positive feedback from someone who had met him. This happens so often that I'm not hiring anymore. I never hire unless the terms are agreed:for me, the escort has to kiss suck swallow and btm bb. Escorts are 100% allowed to say no and most do, but some will agree to all. Then, change the game once money has been exchanged, barely kissing and telling me that they are fukn tops, so no sucking and no fucking his ass. I know they are tops, but they advertised top/vers... Problem is that the guys I go for are muscle beef, and I end up paying for the exact opposite for what was agreed because I don't want to risk pissing off a guy that could hurt me, and as this is escorting, I can't take these guys to court for breach of contract.
I've hired 5 guys and all 5 played the same game, thinking that they are so muscle and hot that just showing up is enough. And sick thing is that for 99% of their clients, it is: so many out there happy to pay to get fucked and nothing else.
Any client had the guts to refuse to pay because none of the sex acts that were agreed occurred? and if yes, what happened. Of course, getting an escort point of view would be great.

There is a simpler solution: move all your sites out of the US. The US cannot close rentmen because it is not a US site. CL and backpage were US sites. I understand that migrating from a to a non US host is hard as shit, but it would solve all these problems. Hotel bars sound like too much work. I wouldn't even know where to start with that, though I've definitely heard of guys suggesting it. I mean, how would one even begin the conversation of being paid?
 
I've done the bar hustle thing briefly or on occasion, but that's been at gay bars where there was already a door opening to make a move. But even that, is too much.
 
I don't mind posting an ad and waiting for calls. I'd rather get that 1 serious call. I don't care for flagging down clients or playing all kind of tricks and schemes (not saying that's what you're doing, just speaking in general). That was the pitfall of Craigslist. One had to do all that to get clients, but you'd also go thru a lot of no's to get there. I can't imagine that same level of rejection in real life.
 
And despite being in the game 10 years, I'm still a Black gay male escort. A very niche market. Even if they are game, will they want to pay? Clients can be far and few in between, if I'm looking in the general public. For example, in Orlando I have to travel 30-40 miles from where I live for most of my appointments. When I do end up at a client's hotel, it's $20 to park. That in itself would make it not worth the effort.
