At the old Hollywood spa (closed now) it was 3 levels and the stairs were steep and long. Weird set up and great if your a fit twenty something. I can't imagine being older and dealing with it. The basement level was pitch black and mirrored. One time I scared the shit out of myself coming around the corner because all I saw was some dude coming at me out of the dark. Yeah, it was me.

I think you're talking about a sex club like Slammer which we have in LA. No amenities other then slings and holes in the wall. Bathouses are more like spa's.

I had a friend visit Flex recently and was raving about it. He liked that heated pool and the large rooms for entertaining. They give you different sized rooms. Food from the bar was decent too. He liked that they had a no drug/bareback policy. I told him they just put that out for he authorities. They know if they strictly enforced that they'd lose half their business.
