I understand your point but to be honest with you I think "closeted" guys are more likely to be promiscuous and careless to a self destructive kind of behavior. I'm not saying DL guys have more sex than openly gay men but they act by impulse and seem to be unaware (in the 80's and now) of the consequences of their behavior.

and one more reason to celebrate middle age! Besides now we have otters, cubs and bears as accepted members of the gay community, it wasn't that the case in the 80's and 90's.
