  1. People want a magic pill without having to put in any real work. Clearly, these drugs work on a weight-loss level, but it's also going to take some discipline and limiting one's self as well. When the problem itself is food, eating and your mental relationship with either, what you need isn't a pill or an injection. It's therapy to figure out how to better manage yourself and actions.
  2. I think $300k for a whole car and $2.6 for a watch are two very different things. I've never been a fan of Tiffany blue. It's just not my jam. When Tiffany originally offered this watch to their client base, it retailed at $52k. The markup on third-party auctions sites is wacky. Makes zero sense. Joma is just posting it at this price to get the hits.
  3. When there's a smoking gun (such as, let's say, video and stills), the best thing he could have done was apologize. He didn't do that. He poured gasoline on the bonfire. Let's see how this plays out. It's a fascinating train wreck.
  4. All said, if you're wanting a all-male kinda place, you have some strong options in smaller B&Bs in Ft Lauderdale. I'm a big fan of Pineapple Point myself.
  5. This article really makes me want to use the acronym GTFOH
  6. I haven't done 'traditional' holidays for many years. It's just never been a big deal to me. If a client wants to go somewhere and asks me as their company, I'm game. For example, this year I'll spend xmas eve through the 28th on a small island in the Caribbean.
  7. Axel Miami is nothing like the Axels in Berlin, Barcelona and Madrid. Great location on Collins Ave, but rundown, small rooms (even when booking a suite) and very, very loud. Old building with zero soundproofing. There are much better options in South Beach, as well as Miami Beach.
  8. Some additional suggestions... Jib Kee's roast pork is ridiculous. Or Tor Kor Market can keep you busy (and full) for hours Aksorn is doing fine Thai dining, but with a serious twist.
  9. Spend time in CDMX, Monterrey, San Miguel or Guadalajara and then come back to me. Mexican food can be incredibly high-end.
  10. They've always had a number system. You're assigned a number and you watch for that number to be flipped on a large cue-card. I figured they'd eventually stop with reservations. It was clearly a hassle for them to keep it all organized, as well as accommodate walk-ins. JF's reviews have taken a huge downturn. I feel bad for her, as she's nearly a one-man-show and once she stops, the whole machine stops. It's not as if she's a Michelin with a huge staff of servers, line cooks, marketing, etc. It's just her and her daughter. The two times I've been, it was fantastic. That was years ago. Recent reviews seem to hold a lot of animosity for how long the wait was versus the quality/cost of the food. I can understand that. Getting a star can be an ugly thing. Keeping it, nearly impossible.
  11. Hasn't this always been the case? Those who can, do.
  12. A massage is actually not a good thing when you're sick or getting sick. It usually makes you feel worse. https://www.shape.com/lifestyle/mind-and-body/massage-when-sick I'd have preferred you cancel. If you told me you were sick, I'd cancel on your behalf. That he talked you into it says more about his need for money than his concern with his own health (and yours).
  13. He's comfortable in a city like Chicago, but wealthy, no. This kind of money isn't nearly enormous for Chicago. Enormous is having the disposable income of the Pritzker family.
  14. Just posted something of that sort on the Twitter feed. https://twitter.com/BNicholas/status/1733157928121565525
  15. I mean, he's young and working the social media angle. It's all for the views/likes. If he's lucky, he'll eventually save and invest. Also, if he's lucky, he'll develop an actual level of good taste and not just go for expensive shiny shit. As a rentboy in my 20s, I did some of this. Spent $15k a month on random garbage, travel, cars, food, etc. Hindsight being 20/20, I'd have dumped most of it into my portfolio and doubled my money, but what's done is done. It was, however, a very fun few years of complete irresponsibility
  16. Haven't worn Aussiebum in years, but some of their new line is super crazy comfortable. Seen here: https://www.aussiebum.com/mens/underwear/brief/slick-ivory/6259
  17. Although now dated in parts, Aaron's book should be required reading for every working guy. And it's expensive, as Simon mentioned, because it's no longer in print and copies are hard to find. Consider it like a first-edition Gatsby for hookers I have several copies floating around my bookshelves.
  18. This is the way. Deposit/declare. Make it as legitimate as possible and you've just turned something fringe into something very normal. Besides, if you're doing it right, you'll need to deposit it somewhere as that kind of cash quickly becomes a liability. Once you prove to banks that you're a good risk, the barriers come down. All of them. Then, it's up to an escort to diversify his portfolio and figure out which banks he wants long term relationships with. I always suggest a mix of big box, credit unions and private banks. And as to write-offs, they're amazing as long as you don't get too greedy. I've seen people go too far and end up getting an audit.
  19. With this revival, it's always been a problem. Groban's fans have little to no theatre etiquette. They think it's a concert. I've seen this revival twice. The audiences use every entrance and big note to make it about themselves. Annoying as fuck.
  20. In coming back to this topic after a few months, I personally think a chain on a guy only works if he's got nicely developed traps.
  21. Grindr serves its purpose, but as was said above, you have to take the whole thing with a grain of salt. If you don't or can't, you shouldn't be on Grindr. It's like watching satire and taking it seriously. Just no.
  22. I thought Saltburn was on-par with a student film. It tried way too hard to be avant garde and shocking. Dialogue had moments, but the only one who delivered them with the appropriate sting was Rosamund Pike. Loved seeing Richard Grant as Sir James. He's been doing solid character work for decades. This film is a good example of just because you can doesn't mean you should.
  23. Someone footing the bill for a nice dinner is more than enough of a birthday present (for me). I'm not a Kardashian.... I don't need gifts or big parties. Just show up and be good company. And don't you dare fucking sing.
