    In 2007 (when my stepfather died), the trip 15 miles west of downtown Chicago, at 3:00 in the afternoon, was an hour and fifteen minutes. By train, 32 minutes. (I grew up a 22 minute ride from downtown). THATS WHY if you’re “out west” you’re not going to have any business.

    When Disney built their first Vacation Club (Old Key West), they built it to withstand Category four hurricanes. So it can be done. Admittedly, Disney has near-inexhaustible money, but the place looks almost new after 28 years.

    I have a feeling your son is right. As with hotels, the more you pay, the LESS you get. I think people in significantly higher income classes / holders of wealth just aren’t going to do that. (How do you think they got wealthy?) Why doesn’t the Four Seasons chain have breakfast buffets? Discuss amongst yourselves.

    I saw a young couple (probably college age) at a nice restaurant. I had just finished my dinner. I told the waiter to pay for their meal and leave himself a reasonable tip. I have no idea what their reaction was.

    My HepB vaccination was the last Harvard study. I had virtually no response after the second shot, but the THIRD took me to a 1:3200 (or maybe 3600) response. They said it was good. I’ve since seroconversion to negative, and they’ve never figured out what to do with that, as the original vaccine (human derived) isn’t available anymore.

    There are doctor shortages everywhere. My med school went to 100% caapacity in 1975, and stayed there until 2008 or so. Since then, it's increased by 33%.
