  1. Streisand appeared on the weekly "Judy Garland Show" in 1963. Garland was not have vocal problems but did a few years later.
  2. I suggest attending an opera first. After trying Britten's "Death in Venice, " I tried standing room at the Met for a Verdi opera. A very difference experience; I learned a lot about the lead soprano (a star) from the far more knowledgeable other standees. "Death in Venice" was wonderful but few opera are sung in English.

  7. Again this discussion may have gone on too long. I can understand the Lolita mistake because the films and the book are old news compared to priests and their victims.
  8. Interesting because my fantasies were all about middle school and high school male students my own age never about older guys. It may explain why I have only seen "Call Me By Your Name" once.
  9. It is not your fault. At this point there is very little left to discuss. I read the book and saw both films because I was taking a course on books into films. Otherwise I may never have read the book. Excellent book.
