@honcho thank you. I really appreciate it. My first very long flights were also in 1968, but the United States Army paid for the coach seats to Asia. All of my overseas flights since, over fifty years, have been coach also, including three trips to Australia and many flights to Europe and two to Brazil. I have received upgrades from the East coast to LAX. But, I am fine with traveling coach too. Also, many people here may not have been the US military. I am older than most members.

I believe she started as a dancer. She took her mother's name. Until a minute ago, I that "Haywood" was coined by a Hollywood studios.

Cole Porter and Mary Martin Mary sang Cole Porter's "My Heart Belongs to Daddy" eight times a week without understanding the words. Years later, she knew what "finnan haddie" meant. "Isn't it a fish?"

Lillian Roth and Elliott Gould in "I Can Get It For You Wholesale." I saw it in Boston before Broadway. Excellent cast, but Streisand rightly received most of the attention. I was in college, and likely a freshman.

When I saw her inside an arena in Philadelphia ten years ago, she had many teleprompters, but no glasses. I actually know something about what I write. But I agree that her eyesight may be worse outdoors.

Uh. Streisand does not wear the dark glasses throughout the concert And the lighting may be too strong for contact lens. It would be for me. She interacts with the audience through the concert. Too often. I am not under any illusion that Streisand is caring person. She donated her Malibu home on the canyon side of the road, but with very small funding for repairs and upkeep.
