Thanks, Stormy. When I was in the military I only saw USO shows with George Jessel and Martha Raye. But I did see Bobby Kennedy Campaiging in 1968.

I regard only seeing Robert Preston in person once. He sang something from another musical at a charity concert with Mary Martin. The Music Man and Peter Pan!

There are wonderful Amish communities near Lancaster, Pennsylvania. I enjoy visiting. They are more house and cart than Cadillac. They enjoy meeting all visitors regardless of religion, age or color.

"The Music Man" was a hit Broadway show before a film. Both with Robert Preston. Hollywood initially wanted Cary Grant for the film.
