Massachusetts is a lot of good things, but not an engine of the country. Excellent schools, especially colleges. Good vacation destination for everyone. And Western Massachusetts is greatly underrated.

Perhaps true when Massachusetts senators were Henry Cabat Lodge and Leverett Ssltonstall in the 1950s. They were replaced by John Kennedy and Ed Brooke.

At least the show featured a gay character, whom I found interesting especially in the feature film. Yes, Thomas was presented as a relatively one dimensional character for a long while. Perhaps that is because gays were seen that way by straight people back then. -

Reading a lot, enjoying the outdoors especially in the Spring and Summer. And rediscovering friends with whom I had lost contact. Who knew they all moved to Florida, and to north Florida!! But thankfully not to The Villages -
Agree, the Duke could have had a jolly good life as a lecturer in Paris and Columbia University in New York City. I don't refer to people by their royal initials.
