  4. I finally watched the entire match. Even at the very end Novak was fighting with all his heart Even though I am no longer a Novak fan, many people at the Open shared a tear even the few folks who were there for the event
  5. I was pleasantly surprised that Zellweger was so good. The last time I saw Garland was 1967 Christmas concert in New York - by then she was still quite good, but nothing like in 1961. Both Garland and Merman were tiny women
  6. Judy Garland sang at what was Boston Garden in 1961. She didn't have an opening act. I have written before that while the orchestra played That's Entertainment, Judy put the mic on the floor and danced across the stage with several high kicks.
