No, many Democrats voted for Dwight Eisenhower in 1952 and 1956 because Adlai Stevenson was forced on the Dems by President Truman and Mrs Roosevelt.
It happened again in 1960 and 1972 because Dems were unsure about John Kennedy and later George Mc Govern even though they didn't like Richard Nixon

I agreed that story was accurate. My point was some members use The New York k Post as an authority way too often
Even when the New York Post was quite liberal (circa 1968), I would be quite careful in quoting the paper.
