  7. True about Prague further west than Vienna. But Austria borders Switzerland on the west. Prague and Vienna are world-class cities. Vienna is far ahead of Prague in classical music, including opera as well as art museums. But, Prague is a wonderful city as well

  9. "Shelter" is not a well-known known gay film, but it deals well with difficult family issues while being enjoyable as well. Also Petro Almoodovar's "Bad Education" and "Law of Desire" On "Death in Venice" I prefer the opera version (available on DVD) or the actual Thomas Mann novella. The value of the film is the locations in Venice both the canals and the Lido
  10. "Apartment Zero" is part thriller, part gay film

  12. There was a musical version of "The Opposite of Sex" starring David Burtka as the boy toy. It played at the smaller theater at Williamstown, MA. Burtka was fine, but his husband, Neil Patrick Harris has more talent. Sadly, the musical did not have the humor or the superior acting of the film. @TruthBTold, great list.
  13. I saw a Broadway show, "Closer, with Rupert Graves about a decade ago. Graves was very accessible after the performance and we talk about the play and his performance. It was such an interesting conversation, I saw the play again a few nights later. I stayed away from "Maurice," but I am not under any illusion that Graves was unaware of the real reasons I talked to him.
