Jonathan Graff had already played roles like Patrick on stage. He was finally getting prestige stage roles ("Red" in LA with Alfred Molina). IMO "Looking" was a step backwards.

I mostly agree. Jonathan Groff was too old for the character he played, but every other role was well cast, specially Doris (Lauren Weedman) as mentioned above. Thanks, @saminseattle.
