There is a simple way to avoid losing a deposit, do no give one.  If that is a deal breaker, so be it.    I understand why an escort would want a deposit as there are client scammers as there are escort scammers.  Client scammers are looking for a cheap thrill or some jerk off material.  As a client, I have given a deposit once.  It worked out fine and I was aware that the deposit was spent money.  
Escorts also have the choice of not seeing a client who will not give a deposit.
According to many religious tenets, God gave humans free will.  My suggestion to clients is.use it.

Just to clarify, my response wasn’t directed at you.  I don’t know your situation or the circumstances. The poster asked why someone (I interpreted that as anyone, not exclusively you) would put their reputation at risk for short term gains. Such an irrational move, if true, points to desperation. I apologize if you felt targeted. 

It’s crazy how many of you will believe one side of the story and taking it as fact. I honestly shouldn’t even have to go out of my way to clear my name but it really irks me when some gays can be so vicious because they don’t get their way so they try to make up lies to destroy someone’s well built reputation. The people that are saying that I supposedly ripped them off are the people that became upset because I refused to give back their deposit after they cancelled or forgot about their appointment and then tried to use excuses about their family member dying or some other excuse to get me to feel bad and refund them. They don’t understand that by me holding their time slot and not being able to give it away to anyone else I would be losing money if they don’t show up. Why on Earth would I just take off with someone’s measly deposit and risk my reputation when I purposely attach all my socials and whole life on my rentmen profile? It makes no sense. Guys are just so butt hurt about losing their deposit for being irresponsible and not making their appointment and then being so vicious as to make up lies about someone because I held my ground and said “sorry I can’t refund you for the appointment you missed out on” I’d be happy to shed more light into each of these few individuals.
