Recently located full time back to the East Coast, but was based in Los Angeles from 2000 - 2024. A lot of places came and went, but 100% agreed -- Numbers closing was the end of an era.

Had a similarly unpleasant exchange with him on Seeking last year. He was indignant that I was not interested in meeting. When I directly and perhaps overly truthfully explained to him that we had met IRL years ago, where and through which group of friends of mine.....he blocked me. Which simply made my blocking him unnecessary.

I've been a client of Eli's since 2009. When he still lived in Jersey City (I think?). I lived in Los Angeles, and it's been maybe 10 or 12 sessions over the years when I visited NYC. Most recently in 2019. All have been AMAZING massage experiences. He's the gold standard to which I have held every other masseur for over 15 years. Plus I really enjoy his personality and sense of humor. Friendly exchanges and texts. (He asked to see some of a film project I was working on - I texted him the trailer. We talked about his possible move to Florida, family, fitness, how NYC has changed, etc.) He hasn't responded to any texts since maybe early 2020. I was in Philadelphia for all of the pandemic years. But not last year (2023) when I was in NYC again for a week. And not this year, now that I have moved entirely back to the East Coast. Unanswered as recently as 2 weeks ago. I even reached out to Deon to make certain I had the correct number. He replied. And I do. It's never changed. I keep thinking maybe Eli accidentally blocked me, or I reach out when he's inundated with appointments, and was going to call him and leave a message. Ya know, old school? LOL! But after reading through this, it's disappointing but maybe that's simply my wishful thinking and wanting to enjoy being a more regular client. Perhaps I'm just in the out "group" now..........
