I'm in Sao Paulo this week and visit Brazil several times per year. It's the first time I've been in Lagoa since it moved to the new location and I was really disappointed. The layout for me is a mess. I kept asking myself where is best to meet and see the men that I was there for and found myself just standing in one place after walking around for what seemed like hours. The area with the stage and bar was small and cramped and not so inviting. I really like the old location more for several reasons and I still have those great memories from my first visits to Brazil years ago which included the old sauna location here. On this visit the suite I used (once) was fine although the TV and air-conditioning didn't work which irritated my guy more than me but it is what it was. We had a good session though and as I was leaving there were still boys arriving which seemed later than 117 and 202 in Rio where they seem to arrive earlier. I have regular guys I enjoy seeing here and that's why I haven't needed to go to Lagoa. But, it was a Saturday night and their Independence day and thought I'd give it a go. For me, 117 on a busy night is unmatched for top talent in a venue where I'm comfortable hanging out in several spots there. I can't comment on the shows as I bailed before they started on Saturday. After a day walking a lot in the city then hiking up and down stairs in lagoa and circling the sauna I really got my cardio in. Haha. I still think you can locate some really great guys online for 350-400/hour and after adding up the admission and likely beverages inhouse you're not at Lagoa to save money. I won't be back at Lagoa anytime soon but Sao Paulo will always be on my trip planning.

My apologies for the confusion regarding the "shows" comment. I had just read a couple comments from others on a different post regarding the 202 shows and realize it wasn't in your posting.

As I said on some post recently, 117 is off the hook on Tuesday's lately. Great to see it back near its peak. 202 is not even near that level on any given night. For me, the shows regardless of who has the "best" one is meaningless. I'm there for other reasons 😉

I have had a session with Rodrigo earlier this year. He lives in SP and I met him in Rio. It was challenging to land on a time that he would commit to and once we did meet it was an uninspired effort by him. I would not repeat even with that impressive physique.

I suppose it really does depend on where you are staying and access to the Metro and VLT. I've been very fortunate with great SIM's for usage in Rio or SP so I haven't really thought about not having phone access. I just feel the Metro is not the safest at night as I observed 2 separate really disturbing issues a few years ago when I was last on it at night. I just think for new visitors that may already be a little nervous based on things they have been told using Uber at night is smart.

I'm surprised by the comments on Uber in Rio. Flights arriving in the morning can be a nightmare of a longer ride if landing in GIG airport and making the Uber/taxi ride to the beaches during the weekday morning. It's much better for Saturday and Sunday arrivals. I'm in Brazil very often during the year and I have seldom had delays using Uber to get around town. For some that maybe have had an issue once or twice and now are exclusively using the Metro it may have been just bad timing for that journey. If at night especially getting around town I'm feeling much better in an Uber than on a Metro in Rio. I'm so grateful that it's so affordable and I've never had an issue with drivers with the exception of watching some getting super stressed in that morning traffic from GIG during rush hours. I definitely tip generously as SirBillybob stated above!

I had an amazing time at 117 on Tuesday night August 12. The place was packed with boys that certainly outnumbered the clients. Tuesday truly is still the night to go as I have found over the last couple years that the weekends can be hit or miss for a variety of reasons it seems. Muscle abounds at 117 for those that prefer their men muscular and built. I stayed in Barra de Tjiuca this time for a change and as mentioned above for those that prefer the subway the Jardim Oceanico station is at the end of the line right there in Barra. There are a few good hotels on the beach near it and the line runs right into Copacabana for 202 and to Gloria station for 117 for very easy access. Uber is so cheap and reliable though that it often makes sense to stick with it versus saving pennies on the subway. I'll be back soon.
