Probably best in the fetish section but traffic there seems slow and also interested in skilled providers. Brooklyn is a big place so hard to generalize too much but the affluent (to be neutral) neighborhoods have become insufferably privileged. People have 7 day nanny care. You’re as likely to be taken out by a stroller than a truck or taxi. The “you don’t exist brigade” I call them. Manhattan is antiseptic in ways, parts of BK are now just toxic. Pardon the rant!

We’re coming back, slowly. Restaurant and theater businesses have been slammed. After 9/11, we were supposed to be toast but that didn’t happen. Sandy too. But this has been tougher and longer. But there is something about this city and the types who are mad enough to try and make it here. Grit, passion and love, to start with.

Hard to know the ideal place to live. Brooklyn has been very good to me for 20 plus years (closing in on 30) but a bit shitty now in many ways.
