It‘ll be a full day trip to Zion and Bryce from LV. Did that once and enjoyed it. There is also Cedar Breaks, which is lovely and quiet.

America has one of the world‘s best park systems... whenever i go though, it’s mainly foreigners. So hopefully, people will begin to explore and appreciate the wonderful national parks/ monuments in the US.

I have a friend who returned from China to New York late Feb-March. He was forced to quarantine for 2 weeks at a cheap hotel near JFK. Costs were about $1500 per week with the meal plan. 2 (very hot) federal marshalls stood outside the building to prevent people from escaping. I wonder if they offer room service?

I was talking to my friend the other day, he told me his doorman was reporting guys who had “late night male visitors”. I never thought that people would be hooking up these days. Another friend told me they have a “no visitor” policy during the pandemic. I‘m on my building’s condo board, and we have never even thought about instituting this type of policy yet...believing that most residents would do the responsible thing. But, there are a lot of gays in this building. I just don‘t want any retribution...

Many Asian stores already implemented plexi glass shields, face masks and gloves for workers and customers a month ago. Some even hand out gloves if you don’t have one. They also limit to 25% capacity so it isn’t overcrowded.

This really sucks... was hoping things would be over sooner. They say NYC is at the peak tomorrow... so hopefully it will be end of May before things optimistically re-open... but i guess people are conservative....

Not sure if this is the best place to put this, but does anyone have any additional insights as to when the quarantine will be over esp in NYC. The apex is expected this week (April 6th) in terms of deaths. NJ is also coming up too. So it's quite dire. A few days ago, Cuomo said the apex was supposed to be end of April... how did it move up so quickly? Or, is this upcoming week a prelude to the additional tolls ahead???

Some people need the structure of a work office. I have friends that need to leave the house for work to escape their needy husbands or wives. I prefer to work at home where I find myself more productive, have less wear on my car, and closer to my pets. Plus, no dry cleaning bills! I've been wearing sweats for the past several weeks.

Not sure if i trust anyone that much. If they were to self isolate in my place for 2 weeks, then yes. Otherwise probably not...lol

I love seasons 1 and 2 the most Season 3 had a harder time keeping my attention...but still good.

I live in nyc unfortunately, and the thought of driving home to Toronto is not something i want to do... but if i have to i will. It‘s crazy here too.

I‘m the same. Introvert by nature and enjoy staying home, tackling a challenge like a new recipe or a technical origami sculpture. But, also an extrovert among friends/group settings. For the time being, I‘m staying indoors. Refusing to go out for social walks with other friends/neighbors. The streets in new york are not wide enough to keep 6 feet apart. Just doing group takeout and sharing/zooming with friends in my building. I think fear of catching the virus is impeding me from going out, even venturing to my mailbox downstairs. Packages are delivered to my door, so i have no need to even leave my condo and it’s big enough, bright and spacious. Working from home, but too distracted with news updates. Practicing some piano, meditating, and watching too many netflix shows...

What would $1200 “stimulate?. It‘s not even living expenses for those who truly need it, especially if we have to lockdown until end of May the earliest.
