  1. Are you the one who contacted Aiden? We don't have enough information to know how far, how easy, or how long the transportation would be. We don't know from where in Brooklyn, or what time of day. We don't know how flexible the arrival/departure time would be. We don't know if it was to be a one or multi-hour meetup. All of these factors bear on whether a 50% deposit is truly unreasonable if he's being asked to meet a first time client.
  2. Again, it depends on where in Brooklyn you start. I didn't mention, but should have, time of day. Traffic crossing town can double transport time by car, and the cross town public transit options aren't nearly as time-effective as the north-south options in Manhattan.
  3. Yes, it's the same "Metropolitan area", but emphasis on "area". Depending on where in Brooklyn you start, round trip from Brooklyn to Jersey city and back can take several hours.
  4. I don't there's a consensus view. Some regard using pictures not of yourself is dishonest and see it as a broader character issue, assuming that dishonesty about the images posted foretells dishonesty about what the escort will and won't do, etc. Others just want to know how the person they'll meet actually looks. For me, if the pictures accurately present the escort even if they're not of him, and he's otherwise as represented, that's good enough. The proof of the pudding, as it's said, is in the eating. But I'll add this: the escort has to really appeal to me to get over not knowing upfront exactly who I'm meeting. All of this reinforces the view that you, sir, and others with sterling reputations, will always occupy an exalted spot.
  5. Right. That's what I've heard on NPR. The porous masks end up trapping the virus and recirculating it into the wearer's breath.
  6. I heard the same thing on NPR in Boston from a doctor. They basic masks can't be worn for too long because they trap the bad air in your breathing space.
  7. I heard the same thing on NPR in Boston from a doctor. They basic masks can't be worn for too long because they trap the bad air in your breathing space.
  8. So your point that he mentions regulars is a reference to the description on the Twitter feed, not in the tweets themselves. Perhpas I can clear up some confusion. He says he has regular jobs. I don't take that as a reference to regular escort clients, but to non-escort and non-porn career pursuits.
  9. Tristan, I'm sure I speak for all on the Board in saying we're grateful that you have kept us apprised about how you are doing. Airplanes are flying incubators of infections. It's a scary scenario to be cooped up for hours surrounded by people sneezing, coughing, wheezing and hacking, while their germs are pumped through the plane's closed air system. I'm sure you're aware of and are taking whatever precautions you can. You also have in your favor that you are the opposite of the demographics usually felled by these diseases. Your not elderly, you're not a toddler, you are in superlative physical condition, and you are aware of warning signs and precarious situations. You're also someone who obviously takes your health and the health of those you are in contact with seriously. All of that is reassuring. I know you're not seeking advice, but I'll offer some anyway. Take the safest and transport options, and if that requires delaying your return, it'll be worth it in the end. A healthy TB is a more productive and profitable TB. (As an aside, it just struck me that you share the initials of the much beloved GOAT. As a New Englander, I hope you're a Pats fan, although I know folks from Connecticut sometimes root for the Giants or Jets.)
  10. His tweets are "protected". Do you follow him?
  11. So, you're saying most of the fake pics you've encountered were from escorts who were in actuality Latino. And that's based on your experience in hiring. So, let me take a stab at what may be the cause of your conclusion. First, I don't think you can generalize from personal experience to say most fakes are posted by latinos or by extension, that Latino escorts are more likely to post fake pics than other escorts. Your experience may be the result of a few things, on their own or in combination. First, where you live may play a role -- there may be a large Latino population, and therefore a lot of Latino escorts. Second, your preferences may lead you to hire more Latino escorts. Either would likely result in coming across more Latinos with fake pics.
  12. I'm confused by your post. Perhaps you can clarify further: are you saying most fake pics are of Latinos or most fake pics are used by escorts who are Latino? Also, while I'm asking questions, what's the basis for your conclusion that most of the fake profiles are from/of Latinos?
  13. I wouldn't read too much into the "visiting" business. For some, it's sloppiness. For others, it's used to create a sense of urgency and promote current hiring.
  14. Tristan, is there anything anyone can do to help? If there are restrictions on flights to the U.S. is there an alternative like flying to Montreal or Toronto and entering the U.S. via car/train from there? I'm assuming this is because of the Corona virus which prompts me to ask if you're taking all possible precautions to protect your health? Be well. If positive thoughts are of use, I'm sure you've got tons of them directly heading your way.
  15. A "verbose" emoji? I asked you to explain a post. That's all. And b/t/w, your post was more wordy than mine seeking the explanation.
  16. Thanks for this. It's clarifying, at least to me. I didn't know if you're comment was specific to tylerrichards. Now I know you're making a general point about all paid encounters with escorts.
  17. Don't sweat it, @Gymowner. @lonely_john seems to be in a mood. He's responding negatively to all of the posts disliked his initial post or ask him to clarify unclear comments. Lots of inapplicable "ad hominem" emojis, etc. Who knows why, but it's got nothing to do with your posts or your conduct.
  18. Huh? Where did you point out something fishy? I must have missed it. All I saw is your comments about the guy's appearance and whether he looked "gay". Did I miss something?
  19. Simply Adam. That's his RM name.
  20. Huh? Do you know something we don't, that's not been posted and isn't in his ad?
  21. It's a sure sign that an offensive comment is in the offing when you begin with "Sorry but". Oh, and it's a pretty good indicator that the "sorry" part is disingenuous.
  22. Super hot guy. Based on the content of the RM ad (the likes/into categories and the text) it looks like he's not advertising escort services, but using multiple platforms to advertise massage. Of course that could be his attempt to be discreet. If I were considering hiring him, I'd make sure to find out exactly what's in the offing.
  23. Just curious whether you've seen him live or more recent images? Or are you making the not unreasonable assumption that he's likely to have changed a bit over a few years time?
  24. You may be reading too much into it. He responded and said nothing discouraging. Had he been averse to clients like you, he either wouldn't respond or he'd say your not a good fit. He left the ball in your court. If, for whatever reason, you feel uncomfortable meeting somewhat who isn't affirmatively encouraging, it's probably better that you don't book him. Whether that's because he's not into it or you need more encouragement than he provides, it's not a good set up for a great time for you.
  25. Is this him? https://rent.men/CarlosLindoNYC. A link is always helpful. You're initial post said his ad "expired". Usually, expired ads are still accessible for a good while and are linkable.
