I was just in NYC and the prices certainly varied. I ended up sticking with guys I had met before. They both had reasonable rates, were sweet guys, and very reliable. While there were a few guys I considered, I wasn't willing to pay a higher rate for someone I didn't know and couldn't find actual reliable reviews about them. One guy reached out to me because I looked at his ad. He mentioned getting together for a certain rate, without me asking (I did appreciate him being up front). However, I did tell him (nicely) his rate was too high. He then wanted me to come back with "my best offer". No thank you... I respect if a person wants to charge a higher rate, however, I'm just going to pass on that and move on. A few years ago I would certainly take a chance, but not at the crazy prices many try to charge now, especially in a city that has so many options.

Hi, I met with him a few years ago. The positives included... he was easy to book, showed up on time and looked like his pictures. However, he wasn't very pleasant to interact with overall. He complained about the hotel (just a regular NYC hotel in the Madison Sq. area; mid-level type), a bit self important when talking about himself and all that he has done in and out of the biz, etc. I think the best connection in the conversation was about squats and other fitness tips, seeing we both workout often.
