thanks @Wolfer from me, too......I read your story from the very beginning as a real-life experience (and practical "warning") much related to something any of us might very easily encounter.....
unfortunately, one of the forum grumps offered up the very first reply and doomed the thread and subsequent discussion
this "nude swimming" thing has come up before in forum threads.....
maybe I'm a bit too young, but I NEVER EVER have heard of required nudity in Y/public/school pools.....we swam at public/club pools as kids during the summer, of course, and under those big tent structures in the winter, but they were always just regular co-ed family affairs......we were in the Y, but maybe it didn't have a pool??.....I learned to swim at about four years old and think I wore a suit??!!......I don't think any of my schools before college had a pool used during regular PE......
is this guy known as Akmed (sp) at Thermas??.....if so, yes, he's a very good guy....honest, helpful, eager......the pictures in the ad don't quite seem familiar, but I'm sorta forgetting what Akmed looked like at Thermas when we met
luckily, I never took up the habit.....am young enough that I saw all the anti-smoking propaganda as a kid and was well past the famous early-1960s declaration that it could cause lung cancer.....I guess it looked a bit sleazy, too, and I didn't want that appearance......
I remember as a young kid grabbing a cigarette out of my Dad's hand which he was about to light and opening the car door at 70 mph to toss it out.......both my parents smoked their entire adult lives, my Dad a bit more than my Mom.....a key indicator of addiction is how soon in the morning one lights up.....Dad would light up before stepping out of bed.....
you may've seen the recent court-ordered prime-time commercials explaining what the tobacco companies did over the decades to foster addiction.......
just wondering if anybody else had a computer crash after clicking on the video within the link??....I do have strong virus protection.....I chose "deny" for the small pop-up window at upper left asking something about the c and c site......
yes, the pictures are accurate.....honest and trusty, masculine, chatty (he's a New Yorker!), loves to show off, and when he's fluffed up a bit - holy jeez!......as always, be polite, respectful, and professional during communication.....
I called 911 on a "neighbor"ing car a couple weeks ago in Florida while driving I-10 in the panhandle near the Okaloosa/Walton county line......it was a white pickup truck with a company logo on it and AL plates.....swerving and weaving at times in moderately heavy traffic.....we drove past him and it looked like a somewhat youngish guy hunched over the wheel as if trying to be as much in control as he could muster.....he continued to swerve every several seconds as I watched from the rear-view mirror......after one perilous move, I finally called 911 and asked for the highway patrol.......we wondered what became of it
yeah, the pics and guy seem familiar....seems like I've seen the Minnesota tat before......maybe somebody will remember??
