I'm sure that muscleboy is right. I can't imagine that masseurs couldn't recommend a friend if they wanted to. I like to think that most masseurs I know would be happy to recommend a friend, but it's a business, and many people don't want to lose a good customer.
As we used to say in New York long ago, "Does Macy's tell Gimbel's?"

I don't usually tip masseurs on incalls or outcalls, but PLEASE remember that the boys at spas get only a fraction of our hourly fee of about $60, so a tip is ABSOLUTELY NECESSARY -- IN CASH! On a $60 massage, I routinely tip $40-$60, and I don't consider that overly generous, merely appropriate.

I've said this before in reply to other questions, and it has always worked in all aspects of life: honestly, politeness, and respect. If you're getting a massage and you don't want it to go further, just say so: politely and respectfully.

I've never been to Pasha, but a friend has, and recommends him highly. I read The Spa every day, and I see Pasha recommended again and again and again. Seems to me that he's your guy.

I saw him about ten years ago. I remember him as a very nice, serious guy, gave a good massage. Not particularly sensual.
EVdude, is this guy who's into fisting and escorting really the same guy? Are you sure??? Evil twin, perhaps??
Glad to hear that Redwine56 had such a good time. (West Village, not East, if it's Leroy St & 7th Ave. You must have had such a great massage that you temporarily forgot east from west!)
Nice to know that he's still going strong, and pleasing his clients.

That's why it's called 4-handed. The client must be at least 12 inches.

If this is the Thai masseur who used to advertise as Jess, these photos aren't even close to that guy. Jess is probably around 50 by now. If you go back to the other posts and threads here, there are some unfavorable comments about his veracity -- if this is the same guy.

"Musicals Tonight" was called "the poor man's Encores" by Ben Brantley some time ago. They do bare-bones, but highly professional, revivals of musicals. They've been doing 4 a year since 1998. Yesterday I saw "The Boys From Syracuse" (1938), probably my favorite Rodgers & Hart show, along with "Pal Joey." FANTASTIC score! Although the book is by George Abbott, and it's based on "Comedy of Errors," the farcical story is insipid, but the musical numbers are first-rate. They are performed at The Acorn on West 42nd st. Check it out. I think they're at musicalstonight.com

+ beethoven got a reaction from Redwine56 in Massage payment
I have been getting massages for a long time, and I always pay at the end. I either hand the money to the masseur, or leave it in plain sight on the table or bed. I've NEVER encountered a masseur who expects to be paid up front.
The only spa I frequent is Utopia, where payment at the desk (and cash tip to the masseur) are given after the massage.

This thread is really interesting! I'm waiting to learn if the Ukranian guy of Japanese descent is really the guy in the photos. Because the pic REALLY IS from a Korean bodybuilder's site. Fascinating detective work, too!

New York has lots of acronyms, some clever, most utilitarian. LES is Lower East Side, UES is Upper East Side.
SOHO, probably the best known, is South of Houston. My favorite (remember the Disney movie?) is DUMBO:
Down Under the Manhattan Bridge Overpass.

I've learned that WEHO is West Hollywood. As Yogi Berra said, "You can see a lot by just watching." (Or something like that.)

I saw this last night (I think I have the correct title) at the Lyceum in NYC, and it's the funniest thing I've seen in years and years! I'm surprised no one has mentioned this British farce here until now (unless I missed it).
Everyone I know loved it, and I recommend it to all of you.

It's now 11 pm on Saturday night in New York, and I have JUST returned from seeing Jonathan Groff at the 92nd Street Y. OMG!!! He was FABULOUS!!! "Mack the Knife" closed the first act, and it alone was worth the price of admission. Tonight was the opening performance. I hope that many of you are fortunate enough to have tickets for tomorrow's and Monday's performances.
I've had a subscription to "Lyrics and Lyricists" for many years, and I don't recall seeing anything better than this.

There is a post on the next page, "411 on Big Black Muscles in NYC." You might start there. Or start looking in Masseurfinder or M4M. Of course, you should go with a recommendation here, and you're right to ask here.
