  1. I'm not a newbie by any means, but this always baffles me.  I remember the Murray Hill Gang very well (I  live in NYC), and I appreciate and understand Wanderoz' warning.

I don't understand how this guy (great pix, BTW, even if they're stolen) can get such good reviews on the site.  Yes, reviews can be forged, but I'm told by one of my masseurs that it's VERY, VERY difficult to have fake reviews accepted by Masseurfinder and Rentmasseur.

This just shows how valuable The Spa is, and how careful clients have to be.

  2. In a pair of jeans!   Didn't even ask you to turn over!   Thanks for taking one for the team.     Just goes to show how you can't trust those reviews on the site, although I'm told that the sites make it VERY, VERY difficult for a masseur to game the system.    But I've had personal friends recommend masseurs who I've found to be total duds.  Buyer beware!!

  3. Shangrila is on 44th St, east of Madison Ave, It's owned by Xiao, who also owns Utopia on the UES. I've been to both, but not since the lockdown (I intend to resume in a week), and I can recommend both of them highly. Always spotless, friendly people at the desk, and good masseurs.

  4. I had a massage with Izzy two weeks ago. I tend to agree with allyouknow, who posted earlier today. He's a nice guy, very friendly, "hugging and soft touch," as allyouknow said. As for "tantra," forget it. I'm not sure I know what tantra is, but I AM sure that Izzy does not. That said, I got my money's worth in the massage. The nude pics to which allyouknow refers must be private pics, which I cannot see, but any nude pics would, as he says, be more sexual that what was included in the massage. (Happy ending, of course.) I didn't try to push the sexual envelope (oral is what I mean), as I felt that he would not go for it.

If I see him again, I may give it a go. Izzy has a smooth, trim body, and he was agreeable to a neck and shoulders massage from me after my massage.

  5. There have been several posts about Jorge, who used to be at Shangri-la. Is this the Jorge with the big shoulder-to0-shoulder tattoo on his back?

I think I remember that. Also, a good, strong, deep massage. This was about two years ago; I think his English was limited at that time. Is this the same person?

  6. This is an old thread, but I'll add my two cents. There's a difference between using someone else's photos and using old ones of yourself. Yesterday I saw, for the first time, a masseur who uses pictures at least 15 years old, and says in his ad that he's 16 years younger than he really is. I know his real age because he says it openly on his video and gives his birth date in his book. Having seen the video, I was prepared for this.

It didn't make any difference at all. He has a great personality, was generous with his body, and gave a GREAT massage. The "extras" were also A+.

Yes, the photos on his site and his taking 16 years off his age were deceptive, but not as bad as using a model's photos when you don't look anything like him -- or aren't him at all! A recent post (by Martin, July 2017) called the milder deception "puffery." That's about right. (Especially since my guy was a bit puffy, compared to the slim and trim photos of 16 -- or more -- years ago.)

  7. I don't think the Alex who goes by the name of Blessings is the Alex who was at Utopia and Shangri-la. I remember Alex at those spas. A real hunk who got naked fast, and liked to play. He was from Venezuela. Blessings doesn't appear to be the same person. I note that Blessings gets a lot of money for his massages, and none of the reviewers use the word "erotic" to describe them. I think that's a bit odd, but none of my business.

And I would also love to know where Alex from the spas is now!

  8. First of all, if you were shortchanged as you say, you should not have paid the full fee. I have refused to pay the full fee after an experience such as yours, and you'd be surprised how fast these con artists back down.

Second, there seems to be a disconnect between the price his "clients" paid in the "reviews" on the site. One paid $200 for 60 minutes, and the other paid $200 for 90 minutes. I believe those reviews less than I believe in the Tooth Fairy (much less!), but you paid $250? Plus his Uber? Just what were you expecting?

  9. The problem with the Murray Hill Gang was that a lot of them were frauds and scams, I'm sure that some of them were good (I don't recall, but I probably tried some of them),but the whole thing reeked of FRAUD! This goes to show that one should never generalize.

FDR's father-in-law really said that "Not all Democrats are horse thieves, but all horse thieves are Democrats." And this was from a man who made his fortune in the opium trade with China.
