  1. I wonder what that "form of payment" was, since it scared the client when he was told about it. Something other than money??

This guy's Rentmasseur ad leaves little to the imagination! He must be quite the thing in staid, conservative Salt Lake City!!!!

  2. I had said that I might try Ryan, and never posted about him again. I've seen him here three times. (He never referred to 'pin the donkey,' but I assure you that his massage is NOT strictly therapeutic. He's a nice guy, very talkative (a bit too much at times), and does not give a massage that you would expect from an LMT. As far as I'm concerned, that's a plus. He looks exactly like his pictures, does not speak in the 'broken English' I mentioned before, and is certainly more than 34, but I don't care. (If you consider that dishonest, well, that's your concern, but not mine.)

Since I've seen him three times, I obviously like what he does. As always, YMMV.

  4. I saw it the other day, and didn't much care for it. However, a friend of mine who is 60 (I'm 81) absolutely LOVED it, because of the music and the recreation of the atmosphere of southern California (I live in NY) in the 60s and 70s.

The appeal of this movie definitely appears to depend on one's background. I'll be interested to hear the opinions of others.

  5. Well, not Sir Noel himself, but the next best thing. Steve Ross and KT Sullivan will be performing "Love, Noel" until August 25. General admission, $50. I just heard about it from a friend, and got a ticket for Aug 18. (Next Sunday is already sold out.) I haven't seen any advertising for this, and neither has she. I think the website says it has been performed in Los Angeles and elsewhere.

    Thought you'd like to know.

  6. It appears that quite a few masseurs who are not LMTs do not advertise therapeutic massage because they don't want to present themselves as someone who can treat muscular problems, or even aches and pains. I think that's to their credit; truth in advertising!

He certainly is unkempt, but so are most people his age. Half the "models" who appear on TV, and especially major league baseball players, are slobs who I wouldn't allow in my home. At least the NY Yankees won't allow those facial excrescences.

I think the last paragraph belongs in The Forum, but what the hell......

This revival will be directed by Ivo van Hove, which means IT WILL BE DIFRFERENT! I think this is one of the greatest musicals ever, and I'm a bit fearful of what van Hove might do to it. I enjoyed his recent revivals of the Arthur Miller plays, especially "A View From the Bridge," but this sounds like it will be changed a lot. Even Jerome Robbins' dances will be choreographed differently. But they can't tinker with Leonard Bernstein's music --or can they?

I haven't looked to see how much they're asking for decent seats -- I'm afraid to look!

    Any opinions?

  8. I'm not familiar with One Men's Spa, but if you paid $90 for an hour, and didn't get a HE, something's wrong. $25 is usually a bit skimpy, IMHO, but if you didn't get a HE, you got screwed. Under those circumstances, you did the right thing. Did you make your displeasure clear to the masseur or to the management, or to both?

I'd be interested to hear what others, who are familiar with this spa, have to say.

  9. My reading of his web site suggests that he is a classy guy who will go farther than just a massage. Hence, the $200. If I were interested, I'd definitely spend the money.

Just my hunch, of course, but I think the OP is much too skeptical and suspicious.

  10. For $200, I doubt that anyone will take the plunge. But he could be real, you know.

There's only one way to find out, right? Well, two; you could try him and report to us! Don't be so sure that no one will buy!
