  1. DirtyHarry - I’m sure 10 things come to mind that he’d rather be doing than massaging you for a $20 tip.
  2. Is it me or does it feel like there’s a bit of a slowdown in great massage options these days. I get it - with the changes at 27 and HK, Paris closing, Seasons changing ownership, etc. things have been a little grey lately. But very desperate to find my new place in the village / Chelsea / EV / WV area. Anyone have any standout experiences lately? Anyone been to the following places and have a review with some names: Why Not, GMan, Seasons, Oasis, Energy Bodywork (on 14th), New Yorker? Trying to break the pattern of the usual and try out some new masseurs. Thanks!
  3. Any recommendations of other places? In the WeHo area. Thank you!!
  4. Ok - aside from their ridiculous website with the mountains out the window 🤣 - anyone have any experience there? Good, bad, indifferent? Any names to mention? Def interested in some newness in the neighborhood!
  5. This speaks for itself. Aside from price if they’re courting parents w kids it ain’t for me.
  6. Pretty sure he’s at Energy on 23rd near 8th. Went there for the first time and was assigned someone named Timmy. Was a younger Asian guy. Nice massage and overall experience. Would recommend.
  7. What happened to Max. He was my go to. Gave the most incredible massage and experience.
  8. Owen is horrible. Zero massage skills.
  9. Same Owen as 28. Def go with Jay!
  10. Thanks so much
  11. Anyone know what’s up with Paris? Saw a few people mention that it closed and I just called and that was confirmed. That’s too bad - had become one of my fav spots recently - especially late night with Maycon. Any intel and nearby alternatives. Loved that they were 24 hours so never had the same time pressure to get there like some other spots. Thanks
  12. Have been to both Terry and Maycon. I’d recommend both. Both massages were skillful and relaxing. Neither of them phone in the massage skills. Left feeling very happy after both. And, for all that’s been said in this forum about the rooms at Paris, I think they’re great. Full privacy with real walls and doors. Comfortable space. Paris has kind of evolved into my go-to - tho always love to explore new places and masseurs.
  13. Ugh. So annoying.
  14. Just looked at the Energy booking page for today. Alvin (who gets a lot of love here) is listed. Then 3 others I’ve not heard about: Bodi Han, Anniel Han, and Leo. Any intel here. Looking for quality - massage and otherwise - but also younger guys. Any help choosing would be much appreciated!
  15. Would love to know as well!
  16. Who did you go to at Seasons? Would love a few details. Feel free to DM if necessary. Thank you!!
  17. Curious about Andy. Is he younger?
  18. Jay’s amazing. Can’t say enough about his massage.
  19. Also curious about Max. He was my go to there and excellent. Followed him from the Greenhouse Spa back in the day. Also curious to know about Niell. Never went to him but heard great things and wanted to try. Anyone have any info?
  20. I have to agree. Jay at Batman gives a superb massage. He used to work at Yeah Man (or whatever the place underground on W4th is called) so I remembered him from there years ago. For me, perfect combination of deep and relaxing. Left very pleased. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
  21. Sounds fab. Curious to know if anyone’s gone and what their experience was
  22. If you’re looking for spas - I always like Thai Wellness Studio when I’m in town. Have never had a bad massage there. Been to see Patrick, Alex, Nathan, and Billy. All a great experience. They have pics on the site when you book. Highly recommend.
  23. Oh I hope that’s right. Max is the best!!
  24. The East Village location has men’s only hours on Sunday morning - from 9am to 2pm. If you’re looking for more than just a steam, this is the time to go. When I went it was packed and very fun. The staff is on location to keep things from getting out of control but stuff still goes down. The spa itself is a little run down and gross. But it is what it is and one of the only spots in the NYC area of its kind. At 2pm on the dot, the men’s hours end and the spa goes back to a mixed crowd.
  25. In short, the answer is NO. We don’t really have an equivalent of Century here in NYC. It used to be that Spa Castle had some of the elements but in its current incarnation it really doesn’t compare. Keeping an eye on this feed just in case I’m wrong
