I haven’t been to NYC since pre-pandemic, but last time I was there, I decided to visit a men’s spa in the city. I honestly cannot remember the name of the spa but it was near Herald Square. On my phone, I mapped the spas that were in the area that I was in and called a couple to see if they had any available appointments. The spa that I went to happened to be on the 2nd or 3rd floor of the building. I had no idea if I was at the right address because I don’t recall seeing any signage from outside. I enter the building and make my way up to the spa - thankfully I was in the correct location. The attendant at the front desk told me it would be a few minutes. I was then directed to a room and told someone would be there shortly. I wasn’t given any instructions, so I sat in the room clothed. A couple of minutes later, male therapists came into the room one by one to introduce themselves. I had no idea what was going on because they were just introducing themselves. One guy came in without his shirt on. After the 4th guy, I was super confused and walked to the front desk to ask how the whole process worked, but no one was up front. I waited about a minute, then decided to walk out. I’m pretty certain this isn’t the norm, but does this process of selection sound familiar to anyone? Where I live, you have an appointment and assigned a therapist. When I think back about it, it made me wonder if I was in a male brothel of some sort?

Same happened to me about a month ago and couldn’t figure out why. I don’t believe I was exposed to anyone who was sick (or had symptoms). Can’t really prove it was the cause. The number on my bottle was in the 18000’s.

If my account is thru a credit union but there are no branches where I live, does that mean I won’t be able to participate in I-bond purchases assuming they require a medallion stamp? would I be able to purchase from my Schwab account that I have cash in, but only have a brokerage account? It’s easier to find a Schwab brick and mortar branch if necessary?

I think with the focus on mental health and dispelling any stigmas previously associated with it, therapists are seeing an influx of patients which would most likely increase the amount of prescriptions written.

I agree with @CuriousByNatureand others that these accusations are always tricky. Everyone will have their opinion of what occurred, but a lot of people misunderstand the definition of key terms. At work, I just had a complaint by an employee who accused another of bullying, harassment and hostile work environment. In most companies, these terms are a red flag and require immediate attention. However, I believe the average person doesn’t understand the definition of those Terms and how HR interprets them. Also, in some states, the complainant needs to prove to the court beyond a reasonable doubt that such allegations occurred. However, with repetitive patterns, I do believe the phrase, “Where there is smoke, there is fire”.

Can anyone share what the Show Palace was like? I’ve been to Gaiety a few times when I was exploring the city for the first time. I ended up at another adult entertainment venue in Times Square, but can’t remember the name. This was in the late 90’s. Being from the west coast, I wasn’t accustomed to the gay NYC scene and really timid.
