  3. You guys are paranoid. Maybe the provider just wants to know who he is inviting into his home.
  4. Uninspired massage. Distracted. Would not repeat.
  5. Mr. Public Assistance is clearly arrogant and ignorant about massage terminology. I've been a LMT for 30 years and I'm a graduate of the Swedish Institute of Massage. I know of what I speak. Nonetheless- Cheers to a great massage however you choose to qualify it.
  6. Mr. Public Assistance clearly doesn't know much about massage terms. I think he'd benefit from a relaxing Swedish massage.
  7. Swedish massage is the essential base for any massage using oil or cream to manipulate muscle tissue and generate circulation. Deep tissue massage is a more targeted form of Swedish massage. Sports Massage is a form of a Swedish Massage. The Swedish Institute of Massage in NYC is one of the most respected schools for massage in the country. So yes, Swedish Massage is therapy.
  8. My NY state massage therapy license has no restrictions of where you can work. If someone states that they are "certified" that may mean they completed a massage training program, but you can only be licensed by NY state as a massage therapist. Not certified.
  9. In NY state, you have to go through a rigorous training/educational process and pass a state test to be licensed. If you are a LMT in NY you have the highest level of training.
