I have always wondered about this one, too. A guy using hot pics will hit me up... then say he can host, but has a kid. But that the kid will be in their room playing video games while we fool around and asks if I'm ok with that. I drop things at that point, but have always wondered where the scam is supposed to lead to. i've encountered this set up on sniffies and other apps as well.

Sometimes if I see a provider on Grindr, I'll send a friendly hello and a compliment on their body, handsome face, etc. No mention of hooking up -- just a friendly compliment. (I know, it's Grindr and the assumption is that everyone is trying to hook up.) If they respond with a "thank you," that tells me they are a good, courteous guy -- which increases my desire to hire them. If they don't take the time to respond, I'm unlikely to hire.
