As you may know, this is a series portraying the life of Jesus. It began as a crowd funded project. I watched one of the first episodes a couple of years ago, about the birth of Jesus, and thought it was terrible. I got talked into watching a recent episode from the current season 4. It was much better, although still not Oscar nomination material, to say the least. It's interesting to see how they take the basic Biblical text and fill in backstories, additional dialogue, and other missing details. I was startled, however, to find that the character of Simon Peter, played by Shahar Isaac (a NYC based Israeli actor), is sizzling, smoking hot.

Communications easy and friendly, nice guy, otherwise quite disappointing. Does not match the pics. They're either months out of date or pics of another guy (although he's still nicely built, just not even close to the super hero/greek god pics you see).
