I’m sometimes suspicious of new providers getting so many reviews in a short time. I know very good, skilled masseurs who have been on for years and only got a few reviews. I wonder if all the reviews are real.  Anyone knows if rentmasseur is reliable in vetting reviews? I tried to submit reviews (both negative) and they did reject them claiming I didn’t have any emails to prove I actually met the providers. Ludicrous because I had contacted them directly by text.

Similar experience here too. I had two massages with him several months apart. The first one was okay and I tried a second one with the “tantric” fee. Massage technique is limited and gets boring soon. I doubt he’s licensed.  Sensual elements were mechanical, I barely got aroused, felt almost nothing. Ironic how having a hot body means nothing if you’re frigid. There are many good masseurs in nyc with hot bodies. Don’t waste your time and money.

Glad to hear that. Same here, both at 80th and 94th. Thanks for this. I haven’t managed to see him yet. In my experience, Russian masseurs have all been passionless and distant. Second, client blacklists are real.  The ones I know of are private and invite-only, as, naturally, they have incredibly sensitive info on them.  They exist to just warn within the industry and not to doxx people in a public square.

If you're truly concerned where your personal info might be posted, I'd also suggest looking into a service that finds and works to remove it for you.  There are many of them out there, some of which do a solid job of keeping the aggregators at bay.  Here's one I've had good experiences with in the past:

I agree that the spike in prices is excessive, way overpriced. The average price is $ 200, and a lot of the most popular masseurs are now charging $ 250 for in calls. Spas are much cheaper now and you get all the amenities.

I cannot agree more with SteveAgain. I had a horrible experience with a masseur from RentMasseur recently and the guy blocked me right after the massage so I could not review him. I contacted customer service and they said I couldn’t send a review when blocked. Even though I had plenty of emails with him on the website.  The massage was mediocre at best and he spent 90% of the time just doing my back. On top of everything else, the guy is a psycho. He somehow found my full name (!!) and shared it together with my cell phone number in some chat room for masseurs lying about my hygiene (and he sent me a copy, beyond psycho). As customers, we’re absolutely defenseless and RentMasseur would not help us in any way. They totally protect their masseurs. And I was a paying member for many years. DO NOT TRUST RentMasseur and protect yourself in advance from possibly abusive masseurs. You never know what they might do with your private information.
