  1. From The Music Man: (Mrs. Paroo) "When a woman's got a husband, and you've got none, why should she take advice from you? Even if you can quote Balzac and Shakespeare and all them other high-falutin' Greeks."
  2. Have you tried listening to Don Carlo Gesualdo? In addition to his lurid life and lifestyle, there's lots of sexy stuff in his music: Flamboyant stylization, formal shock tactics, technical virtuosity, intimations of the dark and the irrational, abrupt contrasts, outré harmonic progressions, and other disruptions of the smoothly churning surface of the high-Renaissance style
  3. The OP later clarified that he's looking for a "mature" man -- probably not younger than about 45?
  4. Have you found something he wrote or said? Do share!
  5. You can also post this in Destinations > Europe.
  6. Here's an extremely high falutin look at possible etymologies. A very enjoyable read by a quintessential pedant! https://blog.oup.com/2010/12/highfalutin/
  7. Why can't I stop looking at these? The captions are a treasure! 🏆
  8. Maybe double-post this question in Destinations > Europe?
  9. In English, if this particular syndicate is made up exclusively of Chinese men, it's correct to apply the word Chinese as the descriptor for the syndicate. In no way does this imply that ALL Chinese men are members of it -- unless someone is predisposed to read it that way.
  10. That professor was clearly not "attuned" to the actual music in the "something a little different" parts. And his idea of a sexual climax is kind of lame. 😇
  11. The occasional Bruckner symphony on a concert program is fine -- like once a season. I prefer Mahler, but Bruckner has some very nice moments. Between those moments, however, there's just lots of aimless wandering.
  12. yarmulke, also known as a beanie 😝
  13. Be cautious. They sometimes sting! 😘
  14. I think I was the one who first applied the name syndicate. I especially noticed this on Grindr, where I would get at least eight IMs daily from very similar profiles of guys with Chinese names. They all had the same age, height, and weight, and they were all seeking guys over 45. Moreover, their descriptions always used the same trite (and very non-Grindr-like) platitudes about love and respect for older men. Sometimes we see similar groups on the RM sites.
  15. None of his photos, especially the last one, seem to show the musculature required for a 5'9" guy to weigh 175 pounds. What do you think?
  16. For me, retiring to a resort town would be equivalent to listening to Bruckner 24/7. 😇
  17. Considering the situation in Providence, I think you really need to do this! 😘
  18. A real "journalist" will correct that as soon as he reads your message. A fake "journalist" will just ignore it. 😂
  19. I might have just kept my eyes shut -- imagining that the masseur was simply a very oral guy. 😇
  20. For those who didn't know him, Leo shows up as Lennie (not Lenny) in a google search because that's what some reviewers have called him. Maybe that's the way he writes his nickname?
  21. I simply registered a new account. What's the worst that could happen? 😇
  22. Somehow this didn't work for me at 2:43 pm today.
  23. In my imagination, "intrusive" is pretty much a synonym of "penetrating." Is that what you meant by "not intrusive"? No penetration anywhere?
  24. With the bandaged leg and any pain you might still have, can you lie on your stomach or back on a massage table? Do you want your other leg massaged? If "no," you can always ask for a good chair massage. Or you can sit on the side of a bed.
