I have just been reading comments on this sauna on the Boytoy site. Not wildly enthusiastic. If I go it will be in mid summer, any comments based on recent experience and what could be expected in mid summer appreciated.

From their photos and from my memory I do believe smoking is allowed/tolerated at the bar on the first level. It is not sealed off.

 

There are apparently ban bylaws in Zürich but I think some establishments get around it by having a designated smoking area or by arguing that they have a non-smoking area. Technically, PWSpa likely has a 90% non-smoking area but some 2nd-hand smoke may circulate. There is no outdoor zone.

 

If it is a deal-breaker you should email them for a clear answer. But wording is everything since they may not want to to have a digital tracer indicating they are in violation. Remember they also have a sign forbidding commercial sex trade because they do not have the required Swiss license for prostitution services. Smoking may be similarly 'don't ask, don't tell'.
