Breathtaking. This was the role that catapulted Caballe into stardom. I heard Joan Sutherland sing the role in Sydney in 1977. She hit a note at the end of this aria that alone was worth the price of admission. The bravos and cheers nearly blew the sails of the roof of the Opera House.

Perhaps I should add that as a general observation other gents of my vintage don’t have any problems either.

In the rentboy saunas particularly Thermas in Barcelona the providers don’t see age as any problem. I’m well and truly over 60 and the providers in their early 20’s appear to have no issue with a gent of my vintage.
