Looks like Boardwalk and Leboy are facing a potential midnight closing time . I don’t think Johnson’s is in Fort Lauderdale but rather in Wilton Manors. I can’t imagine the clubs could survive without the revenue after midnight . If I’m not mistaken closing times are 3 am at boardwalk on weekends/holidays and 2 am weekdays . Hopefully a compromise can be reached .

A good % of FLL tax money comes from bars. They will keep them open.

 

This is vice-versa to what happens most places where a small suburb would ban or heavily restrict bars. Wilton Manors is unique.

It appears as if the situation has been rectified . According to the Facebook page of Mayor Dean Trantalis , all licenses have been renewed and the bars will be able to stay open past midnight. They will work with each business to work out issues . That sounds like the logical solution .

Yeah as big as the gay community is there, it's difficult to see that ever happening. That's like telling Vegas casinos must close at 10pm. :)
