Hedrick's golden day:

 

After an emotional warm up on Saturday, the anniversary of his grandmother's death, Chad Hedrick regained his composure and blazed to gold in the men's 5000m.

I also found the quote in his profile very interesting:

He now lives in my hometown and I think every woman (and gay man) in Utah would love to jump his bones. }(

 

I've not heard any rumors or hints that he's gay or even gay-friendly. He's not seen at any gay gatherings, businesses, or within the most closeted gay circles. In addition, there are several very wealthy or well-positioned gays that host some pretty exclusive parties in Salt Lake. To my knowledge he's never attended any of those functions and I suspect he's not part of our family. ;(

 

Given his fairly public party life in Europe, I somehow doubt he's in the closet. However, a quick Google search did not result in any pictures or articles about a girlfriend...

 

But, I did find this shot from his in-line skating days. Chad is the one in the middle.

Came across an interview that makes me rethink my inclination that he's not one of us. Again, he not in any gay circles that I know. But, here's a couple of things from the interview that make me wonder.

I find it interesting that his answer to the single or taken question is gender neutral. I especially like his statement that he's "ready to be taken." I'd gladly volunteer to be his first. :9
