CNN is reporting that the army is investigating claims that members of the famed 82nd airborne division posed for a gay web site. I hope that I listed the link correctly.

Every five years or so this becomes "Breaking News", there's an Investigation, a couple of sacrificial lambs get adminstrative discharges for dishonoring the uniform (or some other trumped up hoo ha), and the brass pats themselves on the back and filming resumes on Monday.

You hit the nail on the head with that one. There was the investigation in the early 1990's of Dirk Yates. Then the 29 Palms blow up a few years later. Dirk Yates has made a ton of movies since then and even uses the "investigation" in his advertising.

 

Maybe someone got pissed at the producer or another soldier and went to the brass and spilled the beans. It will get some play for a couple of weeks and likely disappear from the media.
