NYC Hotbed For Bed Bugs; Natural Selection

New York City has become a hotbed for bed bugs and officials say it is turning into an epidemic.

 

Bed bugs are turning up in even the cleanest hotels, hospitals, schools, movie theatres and health clubs. Apartment tenants are taking landlords to court over infestations.

 

Bed bugs are about the size of a flattened apple seed. They hide in cracks in furniture and walls.

 

They are almost impossible to get rid of because they can go a year without eating and they reproduce very rapidly.

 

Experts say that sometimes the only way you know you have bed bugs is if you see tiny bloodstains on your sheets or tiny bite marks on yourself. "OUCH"
