In Congressional hearings today, members of Congress informed Mark Zuckerberg of their intent to introduce even more anti-trafficking legislation.

WASTA will make it a felony for people who traffick in wasted time on social media. Penalties will be most severe for

  • Sharing every life activity separately, such as cab rides to the airport, flights, and artivals in new cities
  • Posting pictures of every food item prepared and/or consumed
  • Responding to, and sharing results of, three or more personality polls per day. Examples: what kind of precious gem would you be, what type of vegetable are you, what celebrity would star in the movie of your life
  • Run-on tweets... lengthy messages sent in multiple, numbered tweets
  • A strict annual limit will be imposed on posts regarding hairstyle changes and cute kittens

Rather than prison or financial penalties, those found guilty will have their social media controlled, and will be forced to view never ending feeds of inane questions, or extraordinarily lengthy political rants.

Its the end of the internet as we know it.
